Morris and Yuka were exceptional hosts. Our stay at their private guest house was wonderful, and they made us feel right at home. The photos and description of the house were very accurate. They provided a delicious first morning's breakfast and several other tasty surprises. We loved Morris' tour of the property and learning about all the different fruit trees. The fruit tasting and shaved ice were a great treat! While the location was a bit noisy from the highway and neighbor's roosters, they provided ear plugs, and it was a prime central location for quick access to multiple outdoor excursions -- Volcanoes National Park, Pahoa, and Hilo. Morris was the most friendly and accommodating host we have ever rented from. Everything we needed was in the home, including snorkeling gear. They were so kind and generous during our stay, if we find ourselves on the Big Island in the future, we will be sure to come back to Morris and Yuka's guest house!
What can I say about our stay with Morris and Yuka that hasn't already been said? The glowing reviews are all true! We only met Morris during our stay, but he was such a sweet, kind, giving person! The house was easily big enough to fit two families with kids and it seems that Morris and Yuka have thought of everything from toothpaste, shampoo, and sunscreen to beach chairs, high chairs, and umbrellas that they charge so little boggles the mind. I would definitely come back and will recommend them to all my friends!
Morris and Yuka's Guest House was the perfect place for my family's 4 night stay in Hawaii. It was our first time to the big island, and we were so blessed to be able to stay at this amazing home. All of the positive reviews about this house are true. The beautiful photos posted on airbnb will give you a small glimpse into this incredible place. Morris was available to greet us after our late evening flight. My husband, two kids (ages 14 and 10) and I enjoyed this spacious two story home conveniently located near the Hilo Airport and many tourist destinations. The house itself is very airy and open, the two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus full kitchen were such a huge plus. Our family enjoyed the many amenities including the beach gear! My family and I are already missing the Guest House, and we look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Hawaii.
Morris and Yuka were the most gracious of hosts. We arrived to a refrigerator full of breakfast items to get us started. Morris was more than welcoming offering to help us with our suitcases and showing my children which fruits were the best to eat. The guest house had so many amazing features, we felt right at home. The best part was was how much space we all had. With three teenagers on a vacation, they were all looking for a little personal space and Morris and Yuka had a separate space for all three of them. It could't have been more ideal for the five of us. The house was easy to find and in a good location right off of of the main roads. The suggestions of activities were a great help, and we stayed busy the entire time. We had three really sunny days but loved hearing the frogs and rain at night.
Can it be more amazing? The Guest House has totally exceeded our expectations! Morris and Yuka are the nicest couple and welcomed me and my family with champagne and thoughtfully picked out wine for our graduation celebration! There are little treats and snacks (if you're a chocolate lover, you're in luck!) everywhere in the house. They even provided papaya fruit platter and Belgian waffles (and more stuff) for breakfast. We appreciated all the thoughtful gifts that they have prepared for us. The house itself is spacious and beautiful with lots of windows. There is an indoor swing which we all loved!! At the G House, you will get everything you need for Hilo/Beaches/National Volcanoes Park/Mauna Kea Stargazing. Beach gear, towels and other essentials are provided for the guests. Morris gave us great advices on what to do on the East side of the island and recommended a farmer's market for fresh vegetables and fruit. The Guest House was the last stop of our Big Island Adventure and it has truly enhanced our experience and marked the perfect end of our journey!! Hio do a garden tour and fruit tasting with Morris and Yuka. Highly recommend!!
