We offer a very nice room in our apartment in a little house in the sunny backyard of one of Prenzlauer Berg's fanciest streets - Kastanienallee. The house is heritage-protected, it was built in 1880, a unique Berlin backyard jewel. It is very quiet, even though it's in the heart of one of Berlin's liveliest neighbourhoods - Prenzlauer Berg.
We rent out our guest room. It has a double Bo Concept pullout-sofa. Sheets, towels and a dryer are provided. Also, our complete kitchen equipment can be used. Wifi is available, as well.
You'll find a comfy living room with a big TV screen and an open kitchen with a huge dining table.
Your room is bright and cozy, and it even has a small library with lots of interesting books to read. Anyways, let's see if you'll have the energy to read in the evening after a long and exciting day in Germany's most exciting city!
In the next surroundings of our flat, you can find lots of restaurants, pubs, clubs, theaters and Berlin's most famous Biergarten: the Prater.
The flat is very well connected to public transport: The metro U2 and the trams M1, 12 and M10 stop just a few steps away. M1 and 12 go directly to Museums' island. U2 goes to Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz and Zoo. From Tegel airport, it takes 30 min with public transport (2,40 €), from Hauptbahnhof 15 min (2,40 €) and about 45-50 min from Schönefeld airport (3,10 €).
Lovely room, lovely hosts. Iskra and Lutz were very welcoming and accommodating (with our arrival and departure, looking up timetables for us, giving us information on the city, things to do...). We had a perfect stay. Also, the neighborhood is PERFECT. When I move to Berlin, I want to live there. Go to brunch across the street at An Einem Sonnetag im August..
We really enjoyed this first trip in Berlin in Iskra's place! The flat is just beautiful, her boyfriend and she were nice to us, and gived us some good advices!
We will be happy to see them again.
We recommand their place, above all the bed is confortable ;) !!
Our stay at Iskra and Lutz's place was fantastic! The apartment is perfectly located, really close to the metro station in a beautiful, vibrant neighborhood. They are perfect hosts, very kind and friendly at any time and gave us very good tips about the city. Their apartment is very cozy, clean and comfortable. We loved our stay and the only regret is that we did not have much time (three days). Berlin deserves much more! Thank you guys!
I had a wonderful time at Iskra's and her boyfriends place.
Everything was excactly as described: tidy, quiet, cozy and extremly well located. Iskra was very quick with her communication and she and Lutz were both very supportive, friendly and flexible. Although I spent only 2 nights there, I will definitely be back another time.
Très bel appartement situé dans un quartier vivant et sympa proche de toutes les commodités. Notre hôte était absente mais toutes était bien organisé pour la remise des clés et les explications fournies parfaitement claires.
I enjoyed staying at Iskra's place and highly recommend it. The area is wonderful, safe and very accessible with public transport. Berlin Tegel airport can be reached in about 30 minutes with the public transport. There's a tram stop right outside the door of the main building (Iskra's flat is located at the back of the main building) and you're at Berlin Mitte before you know it. Or one can take the metro (nearest station is U2- Eberswalder strasse) and you're in Mitte in a few minutes. Iskra's flat is quiet, clean with plenty of light coming in from the windows. The guestroom is spacious and one feels cocooned because you don't hear any of the noises coming from the main street - Kastanienallee. It is the perfect location for exploring some of Berlin's landmarks and I highly recommend it. The neighbourhood has lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. One of the stationery shops I wandered into sells beautiful, handmade notebooks made of acid-free paper and the prices were very reasonable. The streets are really worth exploring. Take a walk to Mauerpark or jump on the M10, get off at Nordbanhof and explore the area where part of the wall used to be. The same tram - M10 - takes you also to Sudbanhof (the other end of the line) where one can see the East Side gallery. Cross the Oberbaum bridge and explore the very colorful area of Kreuzberg. Iskra and Lutz were both very helpful with recommendations and one should return to be able to visit all of them! Thank you so much, Iskra and Lutz for having been very welcoming hosts, for all your help and for making mee feel at home in your wonderful flat! Hope to see you again next time - I love your city and can't wait to get back! I have to visit the rest of the museums on the Museuminsel :-) and the examples of bauhaus architecture that I was no longer able to see.
The house was excellent , It is in the courtyard, and the room is spacious and quite clean. so you don't have to walk to much with you luggage. Iskra and her boyfriend were so nice to help, highly recommended.
I had a really nice stay at Iskra's flat. The location is great and the flat is lovely, very clean and quiet. It is a great place to stay in Berlin.
I had a great stay with Iskra and her boyfriend Lutz! Iskra was very quick with communication prior to my arrival which helped tremendously. And during my stay, they were kind and gracious hosts with great suggestions for what to see.
The apartment is as described. It's very cozy, comfortable, and spacious. It has very easy access to public transportation so I could see a lot within a short couple of days and still take breaks in my room in the middle of the day. Best of all, it's a quiet unit in a busy part of town. I would definitely recommend it!
A lovely room in a beautiful flat in a brilliant area! I would highly recommend staying at Iskra's place. The hosts are both friendly and helpful, and the flat is very well situated on a street with so many great shops, restaurants and bars. I travelled to Berlin by myself and felt safe the whole time. There's so much to do in close proximity and the room is relaxing and full of so many books it's a really nice place to relax after a hectic day.
