Interaction with Guests
I make myself available prior to your arrival and throughout your stay if you need me or have any questions. I'm just a call, text, or email away.
We took the time to furnish the house with a mix of antiques and contemporary style. When we travel we notice houses where the guests come first and are well stocked. We look to see if the owner thought of you and supplied you with all the comforts you are accustomed to. We believe a turnkey house is important for your comfort, and have taken great lengths to stock the house as such. Leave your towels, hair dryers, shampoos, and cooking gadgets in the city and enjoy your time at the house.
Hudson is just a 2 ½ hour drive from Boston, a two-hour train ride from Manhattan (NYC) via Amtrak, has a great selection of restaurants, a community that supports local farming, the environment, healthy lifestyle, arts, antiques, and has plenty of interesting people.
If you want to get away for a weekend, but want to still have access to art, culture, and great food, then we believe Hudson is a good choice for your family and friends.
Amtrak is one mile from my house. There are taxis waiting at the station to drive you home. Once you arrive in Hudson you will never need to drive. You will enjoy walking to the Farmer's Market across the street, to Warren Street where you will spend much of your time eating, shopping, and people watching.
Other Things to Note
I have an organic garden that you are welcome to enjoy and eat from during the season. I love cooking so you are provided the best equipment and the latest gadgets. The house is very high tech and instructions are sent to you to make your time relaxing.
I can arrange for catering for you and your guests with plenty of notice. If you are a wine enthusiast I can arrange a Sommeliers dinner at a Warren Street townhouse in town. The Sommelier will pair the wine with your food. This is a lovely event.
No smoking inside the house please.
There is a keyless house. When you leave the house please press the lock button to lock the front door and other doors.
Although we huge are pet lovers, the house is unable to accommodate pets. We strive to ensure a comfortable stay for all of our guests, including those with pet allergies.
Thank you for understanding.
Hudson was very accommodating with our stay at his lovely place!
The place is great and I highly recommend! Well stocked kitchen, bathroom, every room.
Everything was comfy and clean.
We were a group of 8 adults and one child and thoroughly enjoyed the house. The pictures are very accurate and among the 6 bedrooms, 4 are very spacious, so we all had a comfortable room. We really enjoyed the kitchen and dining area. I'd say the only nuance is that none of the doors in the bedrooms or bathrooms really shut/lock properly, but that wasn't a huge issue for us. Also, the water went from hot to cool while showering, but again not a huge deal.
The host of the house was great, very responsive if we had any questions. I would definitely return and recommend the place to others.
The house is extremely conveniently located, spacious, and well-kept. It has a huge, fully-equipped kitchen and dining room. The bedrooms are large and have a historic touch while still also having all the modern amenities. I highly recommend this place.
My friends and I spent four magical nights in Hudson's beautiful home over New Year's Eve. Hudson was an excellent host. He provided us with all of the information we needed in advance of the trip but was very accessible throughout our stay. Though the group ventured to town a couple of times, we were more than happy to simply relax at home. The host did a wonderful job of just that--making us feel at home. As promised, the four-story home had a nicely stocked kitchen, cozy accommodations, fluffy towels and soft sheets, organic products everywhere, and very close proximity to the town's main strip. We particularly enjoyed the two lovely sitting rooms on the second floor--they're perfectly laid out for movie-watching, game-playing, and conversing. It's always tough heading home after a glorious vacation, but it was extra hard leaving Hudson's house behind.
It was a lovely house for a getaway with friends. The place is top notch with very nice decor and furnishings. We enjoyed cooking dinner in the fully outfitted kitchen. Popping over to Warren street to shop and get brunch was so easy. We hope to come back in warmer weather to partake in the awesome back yard and farmers market.
Communication was perfect and we were made to feel like highly-respected guests. The stay here was a 5-star vacation experience.
I'm happy to hear the house was a good getaway from the city. Please come back during the summer to enjoy the vegetables in the garden and the farmers market too.
Thanks for being such easy and wonderful guests. I appreciate hearing how you and your guests enjoyed the house and the convenience of the location.
We had a wonderful experience staying in Hudson. This was the perfect place to come together as an extended family. There was ample bedrooms and enough personal space for cousins, aunts, uncles, and nieces to spend quality time together and still have their own space. The decor was lovely, house was immaculate, and location was perfect! The house was located one block from the main drag of the town and is caddy corner to a lovely farmer's market. Parking was a breeze and it made a huge difference being able to cook in our own kitchen. Greg was a fabulous host as his pantry was stocked with the basics as well as the bathrooms and bedrooms. The towel, blankets, and furniture were in great condition, soft, and clean. It was even great having my young daughter with us. She especially loved the coy pond in the backyard and the Halloween decor outside. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who wants a nice get away in Hudson.
I've never had a such a great experience with a homeowner. Staying in such a beautiful home would have been a treat in itself, but to have a host so invested in making sure our stay was as good as it could be made this an exceptional experience. Suggestions for activities, eating, and local areas of interest were only a few of the things that Greg helped us with.
The house is exactly as described, and incredibly well stocked with everything you might need. Coming from the city, our team took advantage of the beautiful kitchen to do some baking, and all the necessary cookware was available.
We will definitely be coming back.
Thanks Triona. You and your team were exemplary guests, thoughtful, and incredibly clean and tidy. Thanks for the pumpkins. We carved up some lovely jack-o-lanterns for Halloween.
I appreciate all your kind words. Happy to hear your time at the house worked out so well for you.
