My stay at Mara and Vincent's apt was wonderful! It was clean and extremely well kept. The walk to the apt from the most convenient bus stop was up a large hill, but knowing the cool terrace awaits you makes it all worth it. Upon arriving I wasn't quite comfortable with the area, but I quickly realized it is perfectly safe. It was up 2 flights of stairs without a lift, however Mara's son Andrea was so kind to help me with my luggage up the stairs, and Vincent did the same upon my leaving. Andrea was delighted to show me the yogurt, fruit, and milk in the fridge along with cereal and snacks in the cupboards, and some more fruit on the table. They had a one day bus pass for me, as well as a binder full of travel assistance websites so I knew where to find what I needed, and even menus from nearby restaurants. Mara and Vincent showed me to their private lavoratory where I could do laundry on the roof (beautiful view), and Vincent went out of his way when I needed to ship something home - he even took me to the post office and came in with me to assist with translation! He also later drove me to the train station. I can't suggest staying here enough - these people are wonderfully kind and added so much to the beauty of my stay in Rome. I felt more like family than a guest or tourist. Thank you Vincent, Mara, and Andrea!
About the Host, Mara
Hello to all friends in the world. My name is Mara and I teach math and science in primary school children aged 7 and 8 years. I have a degree in biological sciences, but instead to the doctor, I decided to teach the kids. I love to read, listen to music, especially that of the 70 and 80, love to dance. But traveling is the thing I love most. I live with my children, Matthew and Andrew, my partner Vincenzo and an adorable cat, Miù. We'll all be happy to accommodate you.
