When you stay here, the entire apartment is yours! This mid-century studio-one bedroom (sort of halfway between a studio and a one-bedroom) apartment on a quiet street is nestled in one of San Francisco's most desirable neighborhoods. You're four blocks from 2 corner stores, 6 blocks from two cafes, a playground, and the Seward Slides parklet. You're 8 blocks from the heart of the Castro district; 6 blocks from Noe Valley's 24th Street Small Business District and farmer's market; and surrounded by some of San Francisco's most rewarding short hikes (to Twin Peaks, the Pemberton Stairs, and Mt. Davidson).
Thanks to San Francisco's rolling hills, this street level private apartment has fabulous views of the bay and downtown, and gets lots of light.
The place has a double bed in the bedroom (which is partitioned off from the living room), and a sectional couch in the main room that arranges into a second double bed. 1 private bathroom. The main room has a full kitchen, living area, bar height dining counter, and workspace table that can also be pulled out to seat 6 for dinner.
Plenty of free non-permit street parking is available. Public transit is also a snap! Grab the #48 bus right outside the apartment to go to Noe Valley's lovely 24th St or the Mission District and BART in one direction, or to the ocean in the other. You are also two blocks from the #35 that goes to the Castro and connects with MUNI underground and the F street car, and 5 blocks from the #33 that goes to Haight/Ashbury or Potrero Hill.
The house contains everything you might need: plenty of clean sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, and wash cloths for up to four guests; iron and board, curling iron, blow dryer, most small kitchen appliances, high-speed wifi internet, and computer access (my imac is set up with a guest user so you can browse the net or check your email); shampoo and body wash, laundry detergent, etc.
Coin-operated laundry is in the building. Breathe easy, because this building and apartment are strictly non-smoking, and unfortunately no pets are allowed.
I am flexible on availability dates in some cases, so if you don't see the exact dates you want listed here, just contact me and ask! Also, I only know my work travel schedule about two months ahead, so if you are looking for dates more than two months in advance, just contact me and ask!
Feel free to use kitchen basics like spices, oil, butter, condiments.
Please recycle (bins are under the sink). When bins are filled, use the rubbish chute next to the elevator for trash, and large recycling bins in the basement.
At the end of your stay, kindly leave dirty sheets and towels in a pile on the floor.
Please only pull into driveways for loading and unloading. There is plenty of free street parking, usually within 50 feet of the front door.
No smoking in the building or apartment.
No pets allowed in the building or apartment.
Not available or suitable for parties.
We loved staying at Clayton's place. After 2 nites it felt like home.
The location and access to public transportation were fab.
We also loved the Castro and Noe valley.
Clayton's place is awesome, we really didn't want to leave!! The studio is really spacious and actually feels more like a one bed, it's very clean and the bed really comfy. Noe Valley's a great neighbourhood, plus you are within walking distance to Castro and Haight. Great public transport nearby and really easy to get to from the airport. Clayton was mega organised and sent us really detailed info on the apartment and directions - he really put our minds at ease as first time Air b n b users..... Stay here!!
It was our first AirBnB experience, and I am happy that we have made a right choice of the apartment in San Francisco. It is located in a very safe district of SF - Noe Valley - which is just 10 minutes by walk to famous Castro district. Noe Valley is non-touristic residential area. Staying there gives you a feeling that you are local in this place. The apartment itself is very comfortable and has everything that you might need during a trip. Clayton is a perfect host. His great care of the guests and of their comfort is beyond any comments. Clayton has prepared several guidelines (walking routings, preferred dining places, info about public transportation), so you feel at ease and very confident, as if you have already been to SF before. Everyting - from toothpick to PC - is at your disposal. The atmosphere of the apartment is very intelligent, the whole stay is absolutely comfortable. I highly recommend Clayton's apartment.
Clayton is a really nice host and his apartment is just perfect with the best view of SF. I totaly recommand him and his place.
We had a great stay at Clayton's place. Clayton is a great host; he has checked in with us regularly and made sure that everything is going well. His place is at a great location with amazing view; easily accesible by public transit and is also a great place if you have a car. The unit is very well kept and Clayton has put together a packet for guests that includes places to eat, walking tours and any other information you may need as a visitor. All in all, we had an excellent experience here. Thank you, Clayton!
seriously amazing!this was my first AirBNB travel and first trip on my own and clayton made it a breeze to book, communicate, travel, and enjoy my trip fully. I'm so thankful to have found this! super cozy, in an unsurpassed location, and a truly incredible view. coming from Chicago and really having no idea of what to expect of San Francisco, I was blown away by how transit and nightlife and great hikes were all combined into one central location! Everything was laid out for me including food, a bike (!!), clean towels and bedding and soap and tons of bus routes and bookmarks for next buses and places to go. If you're looking for a super comfortable and safe place to stay, topped with a stellar host, you've found the place.
We had a really great time at Clayton's apartment. We were very impressed from the time we walked into the door. Everything was very clean, tidy and cozy. We really felt we kind of were locals for the time we were at the apartment, which is the main reason I travel through Airbnb.
Clayton was very easy to communicate with and very kind. He left some snacks and allowed us to use any of the food he had.
We highly recommend his apartment!
I work for Teach For America, and travel about once a month for work. In my free time, I love to bike, run, and walk the streets, stairs, and trails of San Francisco. I also love to sew, read, cook and eat, and travel for fun with my boyfriend a couple times a year. My educational background is in anthropology. Salsa is my favorite condiment, although I love many. If you need a list of day trips, fabulous hikes, or delicious restaurants for your stay in San Francisco, please ask!
