Teresa and Paddy O'donnell offer a truly Irish experience. They are a delightful couple, living and sharing their charming cottage home, which has seen three generations of O'Donnells and raised there! Rooms are well appointed and look out upon the beauty that is Donegal County. A bonus of guesting with them includes Paddy's hearty laugh, Teresa's twinkling eyes when she laughs and smiles, which is most delightful and the warmth of their peat fire when a day's wandering brings you back for a restful night's sleep. Like visiting grandparents you may never have met which in this case suited us just fine!
My partner and I spent 2 days in this wonderful little home with Teresa and Paddy! This home was wonderful and the Internet was one of the best connections we found in the South (we stayed in four different places and two were bad and two were very good, and this was among the two very good). Teresa's home made brown bread and hospitality made us feel completely at home! It is a short drive to town where the food was great and the prices were good. One of our favorite things about our trip (besides the awesome food and breakfast) was Teresa's laugh! We would have stayed in her lovely home just to hear her laugh! It brightens the room and was one of our most memorable experiences in Ireland (which is saying a lot for this charming land). We would certainly stay with her and Paddy again.
Very nice house Teresa was very lovely during our short stay. Do not hesitate to ask her aything she will be glad to help you !!
Thanks again, I strongly recommend.
Teresa was one of the warmest hosts I have encountered on this trip, in fact anywhere. Old fashioned hospitality, a cup of tea for a weary traveller and an ideal location between Glenties and Ardara. A great base to hope off and see County Donegal.
The listing was completely accurate and Teresa was more than welcoming. She sat and chatted with us over tea and made the most delicious breakfast in the morning. Definitely somewhere I would stay again.
