Interaction with Guests
Private villa we do not live at the house so it is all yours. The villa will be cleaned 2 times per week by our staff and the gardens and pool too will be maintained at your convenience.
Lovina (Kalibukbuk) is a small local Balinese village in North Bali. Singaraja (the original Bali capital city) is just 15 minutes away by car where there is a Careffour supermarket, hospitals, university, all the shopping you should need. In Lovina itself you can get milk, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables and meat etc.
Access to the villa is via a small private lane. Car access if possible in small car. Our next door neighbour has Toyota Avanza and can pick you up and get you away as required. The best way to get around is on foot!
Other Things to Note
This is a true local village. On our lane you will see pigs, chickens, cows, cats, dogs and roosters. Sometimes you will hear local ceremonies and Hindu prayers and local village noise. This is the old true Bali that everyone likes to remember
We expect you to enjoy yourself and have a great time. We dont allow smoking inside but you are more than welcome to smoke outside. We ask you to respect the local customs.
Wow, what a great Lovina location, perfectly close at a 3 minute walk to town but just far enough away. Romanto and his staff are amazing!! Very attentive and sooo nice. He really went over and above to make sure I had any and everything I needed, even provided a local cell phone with pre programmed #s for me to us... Brilliant! The property is taken care of impeccably and is even more beautiful than the pictures.
I wanted higher quality accommodation, great location and hospitality... this place exceeded my expectations on all 3. In my opinion, probably 1 of the best properties in Lovina. A very Special Property!!
Do you want genuine Bali? Then stay in this pristine, sparkling clean villa with everything you can imagine that you need situated inside a Balinese village. The owner is fantastic and will give you his recommendations for anything that you want from restaurants to dolphin watching. We booked the villa for only three nights and wished we had been able to stay longer. Every day we walked through 'our' village to town. By the last day, we had met many of the people living in the village and most of the kids and our trips in and out became social affairs. Our routine became one where we would get up with the roosters, take a walk or do an activity like fishing, have breakfast and return to the villa to swim in the beautiful pool, do another activity or get a massage (Elu will come to the villa and give you a great massage for $800,000 Rupiah--about $7.50, and she'll bring her daughters if you need more than one) and then head back to town for dinner. We'd end our days sitting by the pool and listening to the insects and animals. Every day we met the nicest, most interesting people who just wanted to chat or let us admire or pet their animals.
If you are not interested in local life, this is not the place for you. You will be walking past people, cows, pigs, chickens and barking dogs to get to the villa. Respect the village, and you will have the time of your life and experience real Bali with the luxury of Western amenities.

My name is Romanto. I live in the small tourist village of Lovina. Apart from looking after our guests in our accommodation I also have a transport/tour desk in my souvenir shop on Jalan Rambutan in Kalibukbuk. I am a workaholic except during ceremony times when I go back to my village in Kintamani and pray with my family. I am married to my beautiful wife Ketuk and we have one son (Putu).
