About this listing
A homey apartment situated in a lively neighbourhood walking distance from the city centre, clean and spacious & just right if you want to get a feel of real life in Sarajevo
A cozy, fully equipped 33 m2 apt. in a pleasant residential area, next to an open market with fresh produce and homemade goodies, shops, cafes, eateries and public transport. Most things you may need are just around the corner and a pleasant walk along the river will get you to the centre of town (alternatively, the tram stop is 2 minutes away and taxis are cheap as well).
The apt. consists of one room, kitchen with dining area, bathroom and balcony. It's perfect for 2 (the bed is great) but a 3rd person can sleep pretty well on the couch.
Inside you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay: cable TV (I've just put in a large flat screen TV - not in the photos yet), wireless broadband internet, queen size bed, washing machine, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, a fully equipped kitchen with some cooking basics (olive oil, spices, coffee, tea, etc.), umbrellas, books, city maps and various other tidbits left behind by other travelers.
I'd be happy to meet you on arrival to Sarajevo, pick you up from the airport/station and take you to the apartment or show you around town, just let me know what you need
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy meeting and spending time with my guests - met some amazing people this way. I try to offer some 'local perspective' and ideas for things to see and do and, me being an old traveler, meeting people from all over the world certainly makes my life more colourful. So all in all - all good!
I'm always happy to answer questions or assist with local info & arrangements so please don't hesitate to ask.
Free public parking is available all around the building.
A 15 min walk along the river takes you to the centre of town but please note that the old town (Bascarsija) is at the far end of the centre so that's a 45 min walk or a 10 min tram ride. If you opt for public transport the tram is less than 200 m away, same as the trolley bus, and these will take you to the centre in minutes. Pubic transport operates from 5 am to midnight and taxis are another good option because there are lots of them and they are cheap (a taxi ride to Bascarsija costs around 6 KM and tram/bus tickets are 1.80 KM p.p.)
The neighbours are lovely people so please be nice to them
