The mountain views are taken from our wonderful nearby dog park (1 mi. from the apartment, 38 acres). In the one with St. Francis Cathedral the apartment would be located in the trees in the middle. The tree is the dog park Christmas tree with one of my rescue dogs, China. On your map it's called the "Frank Ortiz" park. The mountains show our ski basin.

I loved the 2 weeks I spent in Santa Fe and this apartment. It's a good size for a one-room studio, with everything we needed. Great and reliable wifi, convenient location (restaurants, galleries, beautiful views of the mountains, etc).
Janet is a warm host who clearly cares about her guests. She was willing to work with us when my husband wasn't able to come (we had originally booked for 2 guests) and was flexible again when I had to cut my trip 2 weeks short. She was always very pleasant to interact with and responded very promptly to any questions.
We look forward to making our way back to Santa Fe and will gladly re-book with Janet when we do!
Janet's apartment is a great place to stay - close enough to the plaza to walk, but out of the way enough to be very quiet. We'll be using this location again for future trips to Santa Fe.
This was a great place to stay at a very reasonable price. The location was great - on a quiet street a pleasant 10 or 15-minute walk to the Plaza. The location is also convenient to grocery stores and to the entrance to 285/84 north and south. The casita is an historic adobe structure and the decor had lots of charming southwestern touches. The kitchen is well-equipped; we had just about everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The bed was comfortable. Janet left us many, many maps, guidebooks, and brochures about attractions in Santa Fe and the surrounding area. Detailed guides to hikes in the area were especially helpful. Another great feature was a courtesy pass to all the local public museums. Before our trip, Janet was very responsive to any questions we had, and during our trip, she touched base with us to make sure we were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at Janet's casita, and we'll definitely plan to stay with her again on our next trip!
The studio could not be in a better spot! Great for exploring Santa Fe but also perfect for day trips out of town because you can get on the freeway without going through town by hopping on the relief route. Very nice to have a washer and dryer! We got plenty muddy during our hikes. Janet was great, during our stay the government shut down and she was nice enough to give us some options other than the National Parks we were planning on visiting! Thanks Janet!
Janet was a great host checking in to make sure everything was okay and responding immediately to any request. She was also helpful in recommending restaurants and events that were taking place. Casita was cozy and just a short walk to the Plaza.
Overall, this rental worked for me but I found it to be hit and miss.
The location is unbeatable. It's in a very cute and quiet neighborhood and you can walk to the Plaza in just a few minutes. The brand new washer/dryer was a bonus and the shower was AWESOME. There is a lovely little bench for catching the morning sun while drinking coffee and it was nice to have a place to sit outside. Janet is a great host. She emailed me many times before we arrived, called during the week to see if we needed anything, and stopped by to check in on us. She seemed very concerned that we were happy with the apartment and clearly wanted us to be happy with the accommodations.
The furniture and basics are serviceable but worn. The towels were clean but many of them had holes, as did the extra sheets I used. The sofa bed is REALLY old and uncomfortable and not an option for sleeping. Even just sitting on it was uncomfortable - the back cushions seemed to be missing and you are leaning against springs when you sit down. I ended up sleeping on the floor using a camping pad because the sofa-bed mattress was so awful (I stayed here with my mother and didn't want to share a bed, so this worked out ok for me but might not for you).
I had a lovely experience in the studio apartment. It was clean and pleasant. Close to the plaza and in a quiet location. The bed was cozy and I slept great!
Our stay at Janet's adobe was comfortable and convenient. It is in a great location and an easy walk to the Plaza. Janet is very helpful and was concerned about our comfort. She had scones and ground coffee waiting in the kitchen when we arrived. We had our 22 year old son with us, so it was a little tight, but the casa would be great for a couple or couple with a young child. Sophia, the kitty, is so sweet and we had her stay with us every night and even during the day if she chose to. We arrived in very cold weather and had a little trouble warming up the place the first night - after that we were fine. Also, hot water use has to be managed a bit as source is apparently shared with neighbors next door. This was a somewhat minor concern overall. We felt safe and cared for and had a great time.
