Great place. Richard was very accommodating. He allowed me to arrive a little early and leave a little let to help me out.
I was so lucky to find Richard here on airbnb due to the short notice. I did a spontaneous trip to New York and Richard was really quick to answer and accept. When I got there he had made arrangements so that I could get in and leave my bags. Everything went really smooth and Richard was really informative and helpful. I am so grateful that I got to stay and get to know Richard. He is a very intelligent and helpful person and though I did not take the opportunity to take piano lessons from him I would have probably gotten home with some music in my hands if I did. The neighbourhood is really nice and it is close to the L-train getting to Williamsburg and Manhattan. The room is really quite spacious and the appartment as a whole is very nice and bohemic and just the way you think that an appartment in Ridgewood would look like. I really recommend you to stay with Richard!
Richard was a thoughtful and caring host, allowing time to discuss topics of interest and also giving me space to be on my own when necessary. The room was private and felt quite separate from the goings on in the rest of the apartment.
Richard was a nice and helpful host. He is living in an artist appartement in a good neighbourghood and at only 2 blocks for the L subway to go in middle manhattan or in the so chix Williamsburg. If you want to eat burgers and barbecue in a perfectly clean environment, don't go there, but if you want to share your life experiences in a calm and peaceful place, you will surely have good moments with him !
Richard is a fantastic host, he gived me immediately the feeling of 'coming home' with a nice chat, offering drinks and home-made delicious healthy cookies. I slept on the airbed in the music room, witch was perfect and absolutely confortable for 3 nights. Richard is a fantastic inspiring musicien, and i loved listening to him playing, i now listen to his music when i'm home... cause i don't wanne let go this fantastic real New York feeling :) I absolutely recommend this place and to meet Richard! Thanks so much, i hope i can come back soon!
Richard is a great host and super friendly. Richard is accommodating and really likes to make you comfortable. The apartment is a three story walk up and Richard's apartment is on the last floor which makes it really private. I really enjoyed the early century tree-lined brick row house neighborhood, which still has a vibrant stoop culture, which is disappearing in other parts of the city. It is really convenient and close to the subway, both the L and the M trains and an easy ride into Manhattan. It's a great way to get to know the city beyond the typical tourist fare and get a taste of the huge variety offered in the big city.
