House is dated. Room was musty. Bathroom was very nice. Carol was very nice.
My host was friendly and welcoming. The place was absolutely suitable, the neighborhood familiar and comfortable, very near the friend I was visiting. The file of brochures helped me find a place to eat in the morning.
Great stay in beautiful historic west hartford . Arrived late and Carol was so gracious . Privacy on third floor with great shower! Good first time experience with Airbnb! Trying it again in New Hampshire !
Carol was a very kind and super accommodating host. She truly opens her home and makes you feel welcome. Her home has so much history and character. Carol shared some of her favorite sights to see in the city and I enjoyed them all. The rose garden across the street from her home is a must see. The space is very nice....clean, spacious and very private. I would highly recommend a stay at Carol's home if you are in the area.
What a wonderful place to stay! I was in West Hartford for a wedding at Elizabeth Park and stayed at Carol's "Private Third Floor Suite" which was very close by. It was indeed very private. I felt like I was in my own apartment. There is a lovely bedroom and sitting area, a separate room with couch, chair and TV, and a large bathroom, as well as a small area with a single coffee maker and a variety of K-cups, fridge with juice and snacks provided as well. It was clean and comfy. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.
Our stay with Carol was wonderful -- she was very accommodating during our stay. The space was spacious and was even complete with snacks and coffee for breakfast. Dodger, the dog, was the sweetest dog known to man and made our brief stay all the more enjoyable. We are very grateful to Carol and her family for accommodating us last minute during our stay --- we couldn't have asked for a more perfect place during our stay in beautiful West Hartford.
What a treat! Welcomed by the friendliest dog in the world, and directed up to an entire floor all to ourselves, complete with jacuzzi bath, fully stocked breakfast goodies and a TV with Netflix and the like. A true home from home, and such a positive airbnb experience. A wonderful stop gap on the way to explore New England.
