If you need a host family in Korea, this is the place! :) I work during the day, but I'm more than willing to help by all means!
[Currently the studio is rented out from March- June and Sept - November. Any RSVP outside those months are welcomed!]
This is also my mom's art studio. You can see books on oriental arts as well as original works my mom's working on. :)
Think of your stay as a host family. :) I am more than willing to help with transportation, shopping, travel guide and other misc. events. :)
There's public transportation everywhere: bus stations and subway stations right near the place. This is a college town, so you do have restaurants to go to, and things to do around. If you take a bus to downtown Suwon, you also get to see some traditional Korean flea markets.
We also have a kitchen, mattress, washing-machine, free wifi, toilet, fridge, stove, utensils, basically everything you need. We provide continental breakfast as well (such as cereals).
Interaction with Guests
I work during the day, but I do my best to help you in any means I can! Getting to know the guests is a huge delight of running a bnb. :)
Please make yourself at home, and consider us as a host family. I also enjoy exchanging conversations over meal. :) In fact, I'd REALLY like to get to know you (no pressuuree).
I live about 20 minutes away in city called Bundang, Seongnamsi, which is another beautiful city you must visit. Suwon itself is a fun, interactive place where you can see Hwaseong Fortress, museums, and Korean traditional flea markets. But if you want to visit Seoul or other bigger cities, public transportation is right out the door to take you anywhere.
Public transportation in Korea in general is great. But as I mentioned above, there are bus stations and subways to take you to Seoul in 30 minutes.
-No pets (although negotiable!)
-Keep it tidy
You know the drill.
The place is perfect! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Suwon area. There are several bus stops close to the studio that will get you where you need to go quickly as well as restaurants, coffee shops, and a small grocery store.
The studio itself is just like the pictures. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host was very kind and helpful and I was sorry when it was time for me to leave. I would stay here again.
Thank you very much Michelle!
We had a great time because of your help and assistance while staying at your place!
Would recommend to anyone staying in Suwon!
Once we came to the flat, we knew that we had made the right choice. It's a very cosy apartment with everything handy.
We are very happy with our stay at the flat. We have no negative feedback and are happy to recommend it to anyone.
Michelle is a very cheerful, mature, and smart young lady whose English is excellent. We are sure to miss her.
I had a great stay at Michelle's place and I actually extended my stay because it is such a good place! It is also close to the city centre and Michelle is very helpful. The appartment itself was very clean and comfortable. So I can really recommend to stay at this place if you are planning to visit Suwon.
Michelle has everything prepared and the place is cozy and clean. The bus stops around the vicinity go everywhere within Suwon and there's a most convenient express bus for Seoul too. After staying for 11 days I definitely would stay there again, as it's quiet and a private one-room with a nice view~ Can also recommend the host which is pretty helpful and does everything to make it an enjoyable stay.
The place looked better than the picture. It was neat and everything that I needed was perfectly prepared, with reasonable price! The place is very calm and you can get bus easily - I took a bus to go Gang-nam, Seoul, it took 1 hour. And the hosts, Michelle and her mother were so kind, and welcomed me warmly.
Hi, I'm a philosophy student in college. :) I like to read, write, walk, and travel. The place is my mom's art studio--she paints oriental arts--but every often used as an airbnb. I am more than willing to give you some travel tips/guide to Seoul and places in Korea. I can even be your day-long tour guide if you wish! I look forward to meet friends from all over the world.
Welcome to the studio. :)
