Redstone Organic Farm is a 49 year old unique place with a rich history that impacted this region in several ways ! An eco/people/animal friendly rustic home with an endearing cozy ambiance. Experience authentic, simple country living ! A home with a warm welcoming feeling with several sit outs, decks, a vast library, a fireplace and hammocks.
A culture of 'feel at home, help yourself, chill on the hammocks or roll in the grass'
Self service. Not for the over fastidious :)

The space
All guests are given a guided tour of the organic farm where you can experience organic farming, composting, seed saving, irrigation systems, mulching, making herbal shampoos, a bio gas plant. and sustainable living. Its also the farm where strawberry cultivation in this region was popularized!
Inspired by Gandhi's ideas of basic education and Tagore's philosophy of learning through nature this organic farm doubled up as a fun learning place where a three year experiment at home schooling ten children with a child centered approach thrived !
On request we can guide you through the library and share tips on homeschooling un schooling, child centered learning, NVC (non violent communication), classic yoga within the context of sustainable living .
With prior planning we organised experiences to encourage you to be an eco tourist
We have cows dogs and a cat.
Every private room has a double bed and 2 single beds or high mattresses.
On long weekends we generally prefer minimum 2 night booking. Try your luck anyway.

We have a lesser known untouched plateau behind our property . This has the same flowering pattern (in the flowering season) as Kas Plateau - the Valley of Flowers of Maharashtra - a UN Heritage site -

Hey im Mona from Panchgani and I stay on my two acre farm where i practice organic farming. I have stayed all my life in this area of Maharashtra and i love it here. I teach people and take classes on sustainable living and organic farming. I used to run a home school at my farm earlier. My place is an old charming structure which transports you into yesteryear's. Most of the furniture in the house is very old and a lot of things are hand built. The kitchen has a community feel to it where every person pitches in and gets the work done. I have various herbs & plants such as lettuce growing in patches around the house.
