We have a brand new queen size bed for the guest room.
NEW QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS, new sheets and new pillows, everything is anti-allergic and anti-mite. We decorated the room with one beautiful vintage wooden desk that belonged to our grandmother. We offer the big purple wardrobe, into the room, to the guests organize their stuff. There is towels, sheets, blankets, one medium mirror, and a fan.
We are so happy because our home has never been so beautiful than now. We are married for 7 years and Pedro lives in this house for 10 years. Here is our sweet family home. We don't have pets, children and we don't smoke. We have one amazing grand piano, instruments, cds, books and plants.
We like to rent because we like to share experiences and receive people from around the word who like to travel. Always we receive good and sweet guests from airbnb.

Enjoy the hypest bohemian neighborhood in the city. A few minutes walk from Lapa, the Sambódromo and some of the sweetest bars and cafes in town!
We´re a friendly musician/actress couple. The guest room has an independent entrance for better privacy, and guests have access to the fully equiped kitchen (shared with the hosts), wireless internet, shared bathroom and a living room with a hammock and a breathtaking view of downtown Rio, the Guanabara bay and, on clear days, the mountain range afar. Our apartament is gay friendly.
We hope you have a delightful stay and enjoy the city to the fullest!!! Whether it´s your first or thousandth visit to Rio, there are a few suggestions we always like to offer, which are part of what brings magic to our day to day life.
Have a pizza and a beer (or a cachaça) at Goyabeira, one of the bars in Largo das Neves, a couple hundred meters to the right of our front door. Take a walk following the tracks towards the left, and have another beer (and a meat “croquete”) at Armazém S. Thiago, the famous “Bar do Gomes”. For a cheap, honest, homey meal, the Nega Tereza restaurant can´t be beat. For a special occasion, Aprazível (a 5 star gourmet restaurant with a killer view and a classy rustic ambiance – good for a wedding proposal). Getting close to Largo dos Guimarães (always following the tracks) some argentinians opened the finest café in town: Cafecito. Great sandwiches, great coffe, great local draft beer, and great Ice Cream – do try the fig+nuts one.
About a hundred meters down the road, Arnaudo is the choice for traditional northeastern brazil food, and Espirito Santa has got killer gourmet food from the Amazon region!
A mere 10 minute bus ride, or 15 minute walk from here, and you´re in Lapa, the heart of Rio nightlife. Check out Carioca da Gema and Rio Scenarium, for a more groomed, tourist friendly experience (with amazing music!) or check out one of the favorite hype-alternative college cariocas hangout: the 100+ years old art deco ballroom Clube dos Democráticos.
Ask us about other adventures and hot spots, in or out of the Carnaval craze, and we´ll be more than happy to give you directions!
I had an absolutely amazing 2 months staying with Pedro and Jessica. They were both very welcoming and friendly, and ready with advice and tips whenever I asked. The room and house were very nice and well looked after. It was a perfect base from which to both explore the city and travel to work from. They definitely helped make my stay in Rio a very enjoyable experience.
I sadly only stayed in Perdo and Jessica's home for two nights but I definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Rio de Janeiro. The apartment is beautiful with a lot of character and the hosts themselves really friendly and helpful. The location is great and they have a beautiful view! Thank you Pedro and Jessica :)
Pedro and Jessica have a lovely house. The location is conveniently on the bus route and also within walking distance of the restaurants etc of Santa Teresa. The bedroom is spacious and the bed comfortable - it is right on the road however so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper! I enjoyed my stay very much.
Great time at Jessica and Pedro's place. The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Santa Teresa, which is the counterpart of the French Montmartre in Rio. Pedro and Jessica as well as their friends are artists, which will make your stay a lot more interesting and pleasant. You will have the chance to chose whether to have a glass of wine (or most likely more than one...) with them and a taste of Brazilian culture or rather wander for the many beautiful places in Rio....or both! Just relax and enjoy, you have all the freedom of the World and for any questions Pedro and Jessica will point you in the right direction. I highly recommend.
We had a great stay with Pedro and Jessica! You couldn't ask for a nicer couple. They are super chilled, friendly and make you feel right at home. We were really lucky too because they had just purchased a new queen bed. You will not find better value in Rio! Both Pedro and Jessica have a great knowledge of Rio and Santa Teresa. We love our food, drink and coffee and they were able to point us in the right direction. Santa Teresa is a great area to stay in. It has the beautiful hills, great restaurants, bars and cafes. It's a lot less hectic then the beach areas. However if you do want to hit up the beach it's only a 15 minute bus ride away. We can't wait to come back to Rio! Thanks Pedro and Jessica hopefully will see you in Melbourne soon :
I stayed with Jéssica and Pedro for one month. They are the most wonderful hosts I could have imagined! They are very sweet, interesting and interested people and I immediately felt at home with them.
The apartment and the room are lovely and very personal, although a little warm in hot summer nights.
Santa Teresa is a neighborhood that is very different from other parts of Rio, very lovely small houses and a more familiar atmosphere. And it is right next to Lapa, the area with the best bar scene.
However, you will have to climb a lot of stairs to get up there and late at night the stairs are quite dark and quite deserted (there are moto-taxis however! - or taxis of course).
Thank you so much for being such lovely hosts!
Great stay with Pedro and Jessica in their lovely home in one of the best neighbourhoods in Rio. My boyfriend and I stayed with them for a week during carnaval, and our hosts were welcoming, flexible/accommodating with check-in time, and really helpful with suggestions for things to see/do/eat in the city. I unfortunately got sick on the morning I was checking out and Pedro took me to the hospital and stayed with me (and helped translate!), making sure I was taken care of. Definitely recommend!
Once you come to Rio, you don't want to leave it anymore!
Pedro and Jessica are a really nice couple that showed me the best spots in Rio and supported me with everything I needed. I really enjoyed the calm and friendly atmosphere in Santa Tereza with many little bars and restaurants.
Whenever I come back, I'll stay with them again...
Lovely apartment and very nice area!
The hosts are really interesting, and ready to answer any questions. Pedro's music is fantastic. The room itself is basic and next to the street, but the location is excellent for exploring Santa Teresa as it is on the top, so you can walk down all the way to Lapa in only 10 minutes.
