We received a warm and inviting welcome when we arrived - the fire was going in the gas fireplace and soothing Sirius jazz music was playing on the big screen TV. It's obvious that much care was put in to the design and furnishing of this cozy little get away. We had everything we needed and felt totally relaxed from our brief respite. The surroundings are beautiful and we were grateful that Kevin and his wife are willing to share their little piece of nature with others. We will definitely return - not only next winter but hopefully in the summer or fall too.
We loved Mr. Vermont's cozy cabin in the woods very well designed and a great place to hang out with the kids after a day of skiing. Mr Vermont is an excellent host he had everything ready on very short notice and even gave us a ride on his snowmobile.
Cozy and comfortable cabin that's really beautiful & clean inside.
The setting is also perfect. It was the perfect quiet getaway. Easy drive to Stowe, Burlington, Jay & Smugs. Will have to come back in the summer!
Great place; very clean, quiet and private. Highly-recommended!
What a perfect place for us to get away and recharge our batteries! Kevin stopped in to greet us upon our arrival and made himself available throughout our stay. The cabin itself is very nice and the Lendways thought of everything in all the small details. From the timed heater in the bathroom to the candles and toiletries to the kitchen utensils...everything was there! We had a great time exploring the trails by snowshoes and watching the abundance of turkeys on the property. Thanks for a great stay!
The cabin was great and our host really went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. The interior has a gorgeous rustic feel with wooden paneling and old-fashioned fixtures, but the conveniences are uniformly modern and worked great (loved the shower), and the fireplace heating was effective even during the December cold snap. The cabin is a little out-of-the-way (the notion of "traffic" seems impossibly remote) but that's the charm. It sits on a pond and is surrounded by woods. An excellent option for a ski holiday (~40 min to Stowe) or for a warm-weather Thoreau effort.
We had a lovely time at Kevin's great cabin. It's furnished to a really high standard, Kevin is helpful and friendly and it's a great place to relax. Would thoroughly recommend.
This was a great little cabin on a gorgeous property! We had a fun time staying in the cabin, sitting by the fire, cooking, and taking hikes on the enormous property. The nearby lakes and woods are quite picturesque, and a nearby stream supports a family of beavers!
Lovely cabin on a beautiful piece of property! Brought a friend from NYC to this little slice of heaven to relax & get-away from the hustle & bustle. Kevin was very informative and a gracious host. I would highly recommend this spot & I hope to do it again soon!!
Stayed for two nights, wish it was at least 7, for our 2nd Anniversary.
Wonderful spot for quiet reflection, restoration and enjoyment of the outdoors. Park like setting nestled in the backwoods of Vermont with Kayaking, ponds and Nature trails at your fingertips. Cabin is cozy, as advertised, well kept and new. Hosts are welcoming, pleasant and informative.
