Stay in this beautiful central Georgian townhouse for the ultimate London experience.
Situated on a beautiful tree-lined street in the historic neighbourhood of Lambeth near the Thames, the house is walking distance from many central London sites including the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the South Bank Centre, the Old Vic Theatre and the Imperial War Museum. There is easy access to the rest of the city via bus or from the Lambeth North underground station, on the Bakerloo line, just a five minute walk away.
The house sleeps 6 comfortably. This is an old family home with many antique furnishings and beautiful paintings. There is a large kitchen and dining room with modern appliances and all the essential amenities. A spacious light-filled sitting room on the first floor is filled with comfortable chairs and couches.
The well-tended, two-tier garden, from where you can hear the bells of Big Ben, is perfect for outdoor meals in the summer.

We had a quick stay in London last week as it was the last stop on a 3 week vacation through Europe. The six of us were very impressed and comfortable in this home. Alan lives in the garage turned basement area and was easy to communicate with prior to our arrival.
The home is bigger and more beautiful than the photos suggest. We were all so happy to have so much space after staying in cramped quarters the past few weeks.
We lucked out with some great weather and it was made even better as the home is located a few blocks from the metro and a short walk to the water and heart of London (Westminster Abbey etc.)
I would recommend to anyone and will hopefully be back!
This turned out to (email hidden) for the five of us. Location is 2.5 blocks to tube (Lambeth North) and about .8 mi. to Waterloo Station & Queens Walk. Also close to Costas, a Starbucks-like coffee shop. House has a fully stocked kitchen (with the exception of a BREAD KNIFE), including dishwasher. Comfortable sitting room on 1st and 2nd floors. Bedrooms are on 3rd & 4th floors. Water pressure in shower on 3rd floor a bit weak, but great in the 4th floor bathroom.
Alan was there (he lives on the ground floor) but not intrusive. He was responsive to our request for more heat (we hit a cold spell) and graciously showed us how the washer & dryer worked. We couldn't have been happier and would like to use it again if we return to London.
Just spent 4 wonderfull days in London! Everything I red about Alan & the house was more than confirmed: very stylish house, close to underground & southbank. Beautifull garden - you cannot imagine you're so close to the center when looking outside enjoying your breakfast !
We really had a great week in London! Staying at Alan's place was as well fantastic, since we have also tasted how it is to leave in a classic English house. The house is really well placed and served, very spacious, equipped with all we needed, and Alan was really kind and helpfull with all the indication we asked.
I hope we were not to noisy while coming back after being the whole day around, but really we were estusiatic of the experience in London and it was feeling as coming back to our home to relax and have a cup of tea.
We had a wonderful Easter-week in London. We were perfectly content with the authentic house and Alan was very friendly and helpful.
Location was just as expected. Within walking distance of almost all of inner London and still very cosy and calm in the evening/night.
Would definitely recommend as a family / two couple base for a London visit.
Alan (email hidden). We only saw him when we arrived and to confirm our departure time. The house is bright, tranquil, spacious and elegantly decorated in an unpretentious way. The house had everything you would need and shops for groceries were very close by. The garden is an oasis. We could walk to Westminster Bridge and the Southbank in no time at all but it was also really easy to jump on a bus right outside the flat to take us to the centre of town.
The house is very beautiful and near a lot of london's attractions. You can reach the tube in 5 minutes by feet and the bus stop is just outside the door. Alan is very nice and always ready to help you. Next time I'll be in London I'll contact him for this house!!!
The house was really nice with a beautiful garden. Alan were helpful and kind and the house were situated only ten min from the waterloo station and a bus stop just outside the house.Very near tourist attraction London Eye. I would really recommend this accomendation with 3 bedrooms.

We had a marvellous stay at Alan's Townhouse. The place is just plain perfect.
The location in walkable distance to central London and good access to public transportation makes it possible to get to the place also late at weekends, when the metro is closed down, but the night buses provide an excellent service.
The beds are really comfortable, and everything works as expected. The kitchen is well equipped, and even non-perishables like spices, pasta etc. were available (probably from guests who stayed here before).
As some of us had to work one day remotely, we were really thankful for the good internet connection, that allowed us to work as if we would have been in the office.
Alan (email hidden)! We were arriving quite late, but he was still up, and let us in. During our stay the batteries of the fire-alarms got low, and so they made a really short beep every several minutes. We removed the batteries and showed them to him the next day when we checked out. He's going to replace the batteries :). Also checking-out was really straight forward, as all we had to do was close the door behind us.
Alan (email hidden). It's a very interesting house on its own and he did a great job orienting us to it. Nothing really to suggest to improve. I guess if someone in your group had mobility issues (the "lowest" bedroom is on the 2nd floor (two above ground). The rooms are comfortably sized to generously sized. From the third floor you can even see the Palace of Westminster peak over the houses.
The location is quite convenient, especially with multiple bus routes stopping nearly right in front. In my opinion, one of your first activities should be the purchase of an Oyster card (at worst walking a few blocks to Lambeth North tube station) and then the bus is both inexpensive and convenient.
