You would be staying in the guest room of my home, with your own bathroom.

The Space

Guest room at other end of house just outside of beautiful Silver City. As I work out of my home, the room is only offered Friday through Sunday night. Amazing views from here. Though the neighborhood is made up of mobile homes, mine is probably the nicest on the block, including the yard.

The east side of the yard is open to your use. There's a deck with dining table, another table and swing seats under a lovely non fruiting Mulberry tree. And you have a separate driveway.

Downtown Silver is a 4 minute drive away. There's a hiking trail down at the bottom of my street and many more in the area.

Guest Access

You'll have the room and the bathroom, which has a washer & dryer. I don't generally make the kitchen available, but you can store food in the fridge if you need. I can make a coffee maker available - drip or French press.

Interaction with Guests

I interact with people depending on their needs, and mine. If you want to be very quiet and private, that's fine, and if you want to hang out and talk and I have time, that can be great too.

Getting around

There is not convenient public transportation. I live in the hills, so a walk to town would be steep, but less than 2 miles to Bullard (main street).

Check In
  • I enjoyed staying with Pamela. I arrived a bit late but she was so kind and cheery. She has an interesting life story and made me feel very comfortable at her home. While it is a basic accommodation it was clean and has a nice shower. A good stop over in a remote area.

  • Pamela was very kind. I didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was a good place to stay. Nice view of the sunset from outside of her house...

  • I really didnt spend much time here (arrived late and left early) but Pam was very kind and her dog very friendly. The place itself is really cool and if I ever find myself in New Mexico again I would definitely stay here.

  • Pam's place is funky, but clean and comfortable. It's an older trailer with add-on's but we (2 women) felt safe and welcome. Definitely nothing glam there, but totally acceptable.

    June 2012
  • Pamela was very available and friendly. The accommodations were adequate but quite basic - Pamela had kindly provided a heater as it was quite cold. The bathroom we found could have been cleaner, but the room was very quiet and peaceful

I love travel, adventure, and big dogs. Food, dance & music are great ways to get to know other cultures. Visiting natural & wild areas is a priority for me also.
