I will fail to list all the little details that have made my stay with Margaret truly exceptional (read the previous comments)!
She is probably the best airbnb host ever!
An absolute pleasure! I took a brief trip to Palo Alto with my 14-year-old son for what have become an annual visit with a favorite aunt who lives in the area. From the moment we arrived, Margaret made us feel so welcome. She had great suggestions for things to do in the area and she even let my son tune and play her harpsichord. The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of cozy blankets. Our bathroom was nearly immaculate, very well provisioned with fresh towels and shampoo and shower gels, and my son loved the "open shower" with the very bright colored tiles. Margaret poured me a glass of wine and soft drink for my son upon our arrival and told us to help ourselves to anything in the kitchen at any time. In addition to being a terrific hostess, Margaret is a friendly and interesting person who is well-read and well-traveled and her house is chock full of some really amazing books and artwork. As for convenience, Margaret's home is minutes away from the main campus at Stanford University and very close to downtown Palo Alto and to the California Street shops. With no traffic, Margaret's home is about a 30 minute drive from San Francisco International Airport and less than 45 minutes from the heart of downtown San Francisco. She is also very close to the CalTrain station for easy access to San Francisco and San Jose. I hope to return to Palo Alto around this time next year, and if everything goes according to plan, I will definitely stay at Margaret's home again! And BTW, the closest In 'n Out Burger to Margaret's home is the Mountain View location at 1159 N. Rengstorff just off HWY 101 less than a 10 minute drive away.
Our Airbnb host was Margaret who opened her home to the two of us, took us in and treated us as family. Conversations and discussions over a hot drink or a red wine were enthusiastic. Margaret went out of her way to look after us, even picking us up from the airport. Her neighbourhood is a caring and safe one, lived in by people who know one another and get along. Her premises was cosy and colourful plus in close location to our relatives who we had travelled to the USA to visit, and certainly worth the stay. We would certainly love to stay with Margaret again.
Always a pleasure to stay at Margaret's place. She is a very generous host. Will definitely go back if I have the chance.
This is My son's and my first visit in San Francisco and CA, and Magaret offered us tons of helpful and valuable advices on traveling during our three-day tour in SF. She is an indeed wonderful hostess, and our stay in her house was a wonderful experience.
Besides, her house is indeed wonderful place as it is in the middle of Silicon Valley.
I will definitely choose to stay in her house if I visit SF in the future.
