We came to the Bay Area for new jobs and needed a secure haven before getting into the crazy apartment-market around here. Margaret was our host for the first 5 weeks, and we totally loved it.
The house is more than welcoming, Margaret is a very interesting person with tons of stories to tell and made us feel at home from the beginning on. I could not imagine a more helpful host.
The room has plenty of space (even for 2 people), the kitchen is very beautiful and spacious. The bathroom is a pleasure - heated tile floor, newly renovated. The house was clean throughout, very light and friendly.
Overall, we can only recommend Margaret's place for a start in Stanford/Mountain View/Palo Alto etc.
Margaret is very kind and super accommodating, with many good stories to share. She offers full use of a great home, which is in a very nice part of Palo Alto. I (and my brother) had a great stay and would highly recommend it.
A wonderful home away from home, full of charm and comfort!
Margaret is a very charming and engaging host. She welcomed me into her home, and we enjoyed chatting for several hours. Her home is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend.
The bedroom was relatively small, but the whole house was available to me, and it was the perfect place to stay in the heart of suburban Silicon Valley. Margaret was a wonderful host, and made me feel right at home. And she had one of the most interesting life stories I've ever encountered - including significant time lived in Paris, Uganda, and South Korea. She'll respect your privacy if that's what you need, but if you're looking for interesting conversation, she's ready to engage!
I spend some time at Margaret's house when I moved to the Bay Area. The room was nice, large, clean and silent and I had a comfortable stay there.
Margaret made me feel day welcome from the day I arrived and we had many interesting conversations and a nice time.
I have to mention the bath-room, because I totally love it: It has a heated floor and it is just wonderful to get up in the morning and have a shower on the warm floor.
I recommend Margaret's place to everyone who wants to come to the Bay Area.
