The apartment was as advertised and was very centrally located. We were able to walk everywhere, and Charles provided great directions for finding the apartment from the airport. We had everything we needed, and had a wonderful stay. Thanks, Charles!
Charles does not live in the flat, but left us clear instructions. Everything was as he said. For such a central district, the flat is remarkably quiet and peaceful. We appreciated the fresh air, as it overlooks a large garden at the back. The neighbourhood is delightful and convenient.
We recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at Charles's well stocked and well situated apartment in Arrondissement 6. Our host provided us with clear instructions as to how to get to the apartment from the airport and suggested costs for each method were accurate. Charles made us feel welcome by leaving some wine and other useful grocery items to use while we found our way around and discovered a great local bakery and conveniently located supermarket. We liked the location because it was quiet, yet not too far away from major tourist attractions which were often within walking distance. There was a bus stop and metro station literally outside the door and parks and gardens to be found nearby. We wanted a 'French style' apartment with a view from the windows and some charm and character. It had everything we needed including a comfortable bed and laundry facilities. We look forward to another visit.
A great location - proximity to two metro stations and supermarkets was a major feature for us. Charles responded promptly and clearly when we needed to contact him, starting with our initial enquiry about arriving very late at night. We appreciated his detailed and accurate description of the apartment and how to get there, and features of the immediate district (train prices had gone up just a tad). A bowl of fruit, a bottle of wine, and tea/coffee and other useful items in the kitchen made us feel very welcome.
Charles was great and made us feel very welcome providing all the info we needed. The apartment was perfect for the two of us, it was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. The bed was wonderfully comfortable-important after a day of wondering around Paris. We have stayed in many different parts of Paris and really liked the location as we could easily walk to Montparnasse or St Germaine de Pres. With a brief rest at the Luxembourg Gardens the Latin Quarter was an easy walk, too. There are lots of bars, restaurants and stores with easy access to three Metro lines, 4, 10, 12. Being Airbnb the price was right.
We like to use the Metro and the RER from CDG. Best route, one ticket, is RER to St Michel and line 10 (Cluny La Sorbonne) to Vaneau (exit left to the apartment).

The apartment was just as described in the photo's and had a Parisienne feel. apartment was clean and plenty of space for two, and the bed was very comfortable. Perfectly position for sightseeing and terrific eateries in walking distance. A perfect quiet haven in a busy city. We just loved our stay here. The little touches of fresh fruits and a bottle of wine were a much appreciated bonus.
We didn't get to meet Charles but even so he was very helpful via email/text and easy to get a hold of it felt like I did get to meet with him. He gave us good instructions for our arrival and the place was great. He even left of a welcome bottle of wine which we drank at night while watching the Eiffel Tower shimmer. Apartment building felt very safe, neighborhood was nice with a great grocery store down the street. Having a metro stop across the street was very helpful. As first time Paris visitors, Charles' place was just what we needed.
