Our host, Charles was very prompt with communication and sent a very detailed email for directions to the apartment, ease of check-in, and useful information to make our stay very pleasurable. The apartment was very quaint; It was neat, clean, quiet, and comfortable for our stay. Upon our arrival, we thoroughly enjoyed the "welcome" bottle of wine, fruit, and bottled water. The location was very safe, secure and convenient to the Metro. After a couple minute walk to the apartment, we did struggle a bit to lug our suitcases up the two flights of stairs, but it was worth it. We were only there for three nights, but would be comfortable for many more nights!
Absolutely delightful apartment in a great location.
Transport connections great and walking distance to major attractions make the location a must. The apartment itself is recently refurbished and up to all the standards you would want/expect from any (more expensive) hotel room in the city.
A clear recommendation to friends and on the hit list if we return to Paris. Our only warning would be don't get too excited when shopping in Le Grande Epicierie- as all those food goodies can quickly add up an surprise you when you get to the till!!!
Although didn't meet Charles- his logistical execution was great and as hosts ourselves in New York we took many tips as to how we could make the experience for our guests even better!
My husband and I stayed at Charles' apartment for 5 nights. It was an excellent location (very centrally located with lots of shops and the metro in walking distance) and Charles was a fantastic host. Unfortunately we were not able to meet Charles in person as he was away for work but he was always available to answer any questions we had, with an extremely quick response, via email. Also the instructions to arrive at the apartment were spot which made a real difference arriving late in the evening. The apartment was extremely clean (and I have pretty high expectations on cleanliness!) I chose to stay at Charles' apartment based on the positive reviews left on Airbnb and they all very much lived up to what they stated. I will definitely be back to Paris and will definitely stay at this accommodation again.
My wife and I had a perfect stay in Charles' apartment.
Charles is great host and was always easy to communicate with.
If we had any question he answered immediately.
His apartment is cosy and very convenient. We absolutely loved it.
So quiet and peaceful that we feel ourselves to be in a country house far away from busy city.
No street noise, just birds singing outside windows.
Metro station Vaneau and Carrefour supermarket are located very close.
We would recommend Charles' apartment to anyone and I hope next time in Paris we'll stay there again.
Thank you Charles!
The apartment is nice, is very well located.
Everything went well. Charles is very friendly and polite.
Great little one bedroom apartment nicely decorated and perfect for a weekend stay in Paris. Nice area and v close to metro station and to x2 supermarkets.
As an asthmatic, I forgot to check if smoking is allowed and the apartment did smell quite badly of smoke so just a warning. Also had an issue with a faulty shower head but Charles is always quickly in touch to help when we emailed with a question or issue.
Charles was great to deal with and left very clear instructions! Would definitely recommend.
My wife and I stayed in Charles' apartment for 6 nights and had an excellent stay! The apartment was as described and in a great location with very easy access to the Metro. Also, several food markets right down the street. The apartment was well equipped and in the back of the building which made for quiet nights. The bed was very comfortable. A few basics such as wine, water and fruit were provided at check in. We didn't have a chance to meet Charles during check in or check out but the process was very smooth and easy via messaging. Communication with Charles was easy from beginning to end. We highly recommend the apartment and would most definitely stay here again. Thank you Charles!
Clean, Well equipped, Great location! Charming!
What a great home base for a Paris week! My husband and I just returned from a week in Charles' apartment and loved it. Charles was not able to meet us on arrival, which I am sure would have been lovely, but it had no impact on the pleasant stay at his place, as he had very clear instructions and everything set up for us.
Let me preface by saying I am very particular about cleanliness. Charles did not disappoint. The place was fresh and clean with a bottle of wine and fruit waiting for us (thank you so much as it was just what was needed after a long trip). The bed was so comfortable with crisp, fresh linens.
The bathroom is small but immaculate with laundry that was easy to figure out. The Airbnb pictures do not do it justice, as I was (unnecessarily)worried it would be old, but it is well maintained and updated. It is a tight shower, but no problem.
The living area has a comfy couch to enjoy a glass of wine by the window.
The kitchen is compact, but perfect for warming croissants from the Patisserie around the corner in the morning and coffee from the coffee maker. We didn't use the kitchen for other purposes, but it was well equipped.
The absolute best part was the value for this location. This was ideal for everything! It is stumbling distance to the Vaneau Metro, to get everywhere. We also used the Velib bikes beside Vaneau for most of our travels throughout Paris. At night the Velib station was sometimes full, but only once could we not get both bikes in. My husband whipped around the corner to another Velib, and I walked home completely comfortable and safe. Great neighbourhood.
The bells of St Vincent de Paul's were charming to hear in the evening as we wound down before heading out again for dinner.
In summary, Charles has a great apartment with a location that as first timers in Paris was outstanding and a cozy clean apartment that was ideal.
L'appart de Charles est parfait pour votre séjour à Paris!! The location was amazing - very central and close to many metro stops. The apartment itself was clean, bright and large - way bigger than some of the other flats I looked at. To top it all off, Charles is a great host - easy to get in touch with and always helpful. Plus he left us a bottle of wine and some fruit as a welcome gift! Merci Charles!!
This was our second time renting an apartment in Paris through AirBnB and both times we had a great experience. The apartments were perfect for our needs. This time, we found Charles to be very helpful and a great host all the way around. The orange juice, wine, fruit and coffee/teas that were available in the apartment were really thoughtful. Would definitely repeat staying in his lovely apartment!
