  • In town for work. Great room, rate & (email hidden)is is set up like a regular BnB. I saw a few other guests who were very nice, but never heard a sound once I got into my room.

There was a fridge, microwave, espresso maker, & sink in the room which was very convenient.

The room was as good as any 5-star hotel I've stay in, but with more privacy and convenience.

Sophie was a great hostess and had a packet prepared for places to eat & things to do in the area.

    I would stay there again!

  • La Maison d'Art suite is a sanctuary in a busy city. Comfortable bed, big shower and tub (including clean towels), and even a mini-kitchen equiped with a kettle and fridge. The accommodation is nestled inbetween three subways, the furtherest one being a 10 minute walk away. If you enjoy walking I recommend walking from the room to the south end of Central Park, it's a rewarding walk. I felt safe walking around the area and really enjoyed the more relaxed atmosohere of the neighbourhood. Sophie (Stephanie's assistant) was very friendly and helpful, they provided us with a list of places around Harlem to eat and drink. As well as very useful subway and bus maps. We had a wonderful time staying here and when we return to New York would without a doubt stay at La Maison d'Art again.

  • La Maison d´Art Suite was very great!

  • We had a great stay in the La Maison d'Art suite. The room was as described and pictured. It was very spacious, tastefully decorated with interesting paintings on the walls. There was also A/C which was much needed as there was a heatwave during our stay. Stephanie was a great hostess. She was always prompt in email correspondence. I didn't get to meet her until I checked out but her assistant Josh was always around and gave good recommendations for sights and brunch.

  • Beautiful, light & airy room; bed was amazing! Bathroom was great, good strong shower. We ate out but brought leftovers back, & everything was there to enjoy the leftovers. Good-sized closet, adequate drawer space for us.

We were there during a weather transition period, so the A/C was not on, but the windows provided good air & Stephanie gave us a floor fan to use, which was a big help.

Stephanie is a delightful person who genuinely wants her guests to be satisfied. She provides a list of restaurants & attractions in the area; we parked for free on the street & felt completely comfortable doing so.

Subways are a 5-10 minute walk & 15-20 minute ride to Times Square via express train.

Thanks to Stephanie for a great stay! Our first time using Airbnb & first time NOT staying in a hotel in the center of NY, so were were not sure what to expect, but it turned out great! We will definitely stay here on our next trip!

  • We would highly recommend staying in Stephanies place. It was a beautiful, well kept building with a superb room and bathroom. extremely clean and the bed was s(phone number hidden)comfortable. Stephanie was really welcoming and gave us a very useful guide of where to eat, drink etc close by which proved invaluable. The house is in Harlem with may be intimidating to some people, but we embraced it as experience and never saw any problems with people. I would definately stay in one of Stephanies houses again and would highly recommend her as a host. Nic and Crag from Co Durham, England

  • Stephanie is a wonderful hostess with an amazing sense of style. The space was comfortable with everything we needed. It was a great help to have a list of nearby resturants and entertainment venues with a note of what they offered.
The house was beautiful and the rental a great value. I will be sure to stay again.

  • Stayed in the La Maison Suite. Quiet, spacious, well equipped and maintained, and stylishly decorated room - with great bathroom. Relatively conveniently located: a 5-10 minute walk to the subway and then 10 minutes to midtown. Stephanie was efficient, friendly, and helpful. A couple of drawbacks: the bed wasn't the most comfortable and if there are noisy guests in the apartment above (which happened during my stay) the wooden landings, stairs and floors can make quite a racket. All in all a good spot.
