The Space

Lovely and spacious apartment in the HEART of ROME, walking distance to the COLOSSEUM, Roman Forum and many other tourist sites such as the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Laterano. The apartment is in a pleasant residential neighborhood (called Esquilino, one of the seven hills) yet just a short walk from the Termini train station, where you will arrive if you take the express train from Fiumicino Airport or arrive on a long distance train. A big and convenient supermarket is downstairs, another one 100 meters away on the same street! Right downstairs is an excellent bakery and on the corner is a popular restaurant. Other restaurants, shops, caffés, and gelato shops are nearby.

Besides being very convenient for walking to many tourists spots, the apartment is ideally situated for using public transportation. It's just 100 meters to the Metro A line, or a short walk to many bus and tram lines. It's a ten minute walk to Termini station and the Metro B line. From the Termini station you can take the express train to the Fiumicino airport.

The apartment is on the third floor, with a lift in the building.
Very quiet, bright, charming, colorful and spacious. Big living room with double sofa bed, bedroom with king-size bed, bathroom, kitchen. Many accessories/amenities like dishwasher, washing machine, A/C, 32'' TV Sony + DVD reader with USB, wi-fi internet connection, microwave oven, toaster, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, etc. Furnished with outstanding ANTIQUES (mid 1800). Fresh linens and towels are provided.

  • Luca's place was very convenient to the tourist attractions, Termini train station, and metro, and he was a great host - easy to contact and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer!

  • Coming from the country, it often takes us awhile to get our "city legs", but we felt at home here pretty quickly. The apartment is comfortable, quiet, well appointed and in a great location. We took some time to read the comments in the guest books and found them very helpful. Luca's suggestions for grocery shopping & gelato are perfect. We do have to say that this seems a perfect time to visit Rome and we are totally pleased with Luca's Air B&B. Luca provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we found it easy to cook "at home". The bakery downstairs is irresistible. We were grateful for the umbrellas provided because we did have a rainy day. We were also glad to have the elevator when we got back from a day of walking.

  • I have stayed with my family in Lucas apartment near piazza Vittorio Emmanuele II and I warmly recommend it to anyone looking for an accommodation. We were 4(including 2 small kids) but Luca kindly agreed that we book for only grownups.
The position of the apartment worked very well for us. It is quite central and just next to the subway red line (Rome has only 2 lines). This is ideal when you've been walking around the town the whole day and have tired kids. Red line reaches all major monuments and reaches even the Vatican city. Not to mention that apartment is situated Esquiline hill (one of the 7 hills of Rome) and just 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum, Palatine and just a minute away from Santa Maria Maggiore cathedral.
Just under the apartment there is a bakery having some very good food (try any kind of pizza slices). Around the corner in via di Porta Maggiore there is one of the best ice creams in town Fassi - Palazzo del Freddo, don't miss it.
The apartment is clean and quiet. It has only one bedroom but in the dining room there is bed-sofa comfortable for sleeping for 2(especially if children). It has everything you need for staying even longer periods.
All-in-all very nice and given the opportunity we'll return again.

  • We are a family of 5 and fitted perfectly in Lucca's apartment. It was nice to come back to the cozy flat after a day out in Rome. It is perfectly situated, close to the metro, a good and reasonably priced supermarket just opposite, a cafe/bakery right next to it which got us addicted to a cappucino in the morning. On the next street corner is a super trattoria. Classical Rome with the Colloseum and Forum Romanum is just a 15 minute walk away. Luca was very welcoming and we would chose his apartment any time again.

  • Luca's apartment was well fitted out, very clean and comfortable. While the neighbourhood was not the greatest (in terms of cleanliness and colourful characters) it was close to the colosseum and central. Overall a great experience and Luca was very hospitable.

  • Appartamento ben situato, a 10 min dal Colosseo e a 2 passi dalla metro. Consigliatissimo!

  • Staying in Luca's apartment was a pleasure. It was clean, comfortable and easily accessible to both the train station and many sights. Being so close to a metro stop was also a life saver! Luca had many prior guest's recommendations available for us to peruse and even left us a plate of fruits which was very much appreciated. Luca is professional and responsible and I highly recommend staying in his apartment while in Rome.

  • Second time staying at Luca's Rome apartment and he is a great and VERY responsive host. Apartment is located very close to Termini and lots of public transportation options which makes getting around the city convenient. The apartment has a lift and two grocery stores within 100 yards, making stocking up the kitchen easy. The apartment is well stocked and should serve as a great base for your Roman holiday.

I am a scientist who loves music, arts and photography. I have lived for 5 years in San Diego, California and, since then, my heart belongs to both US and Italy. Quite different cultures, I have to admit, but probably one fills the gap of the other. I have decided to return to Rome because I truly love the Eternal city, its beauty and its charm. I couldn't live anywhere else. I always hope that my guests will share this feeling about this amazing city. "Life is a journey, not a destination"
