The Space

Nice apartment in the center of Berlin!

Rental is for two people sharing, per day.

The apartment is in close proximity to the Teutoburger Platz, the Underground Station U2 Senefelder Platz (5 minute walk) and Rosa Luxemburg Platz U2 (5 minute walk). It's only a single stop from Alexander Platz, the heart of Berlin with its famous landmark TV-Tower and World Time Clock, both prominently featured in several films.

You don't fancy public transport, don't really need any tram, bus, subway or train? Perfect, let's go on a stroll, walk a few streets and find a plethora of galleries to visit, cafes and restaurants to enjoy a bite to eat, as well as bars to relax and have a drink. Kastanienallee with lots of nice bars, Kulturbrauerei with several clubs, Torstrasse with its bars, Oranienburger Strasse and Hackesche Hoefe - all within walking distance.

You see, it's an absolute cultural hot spot!

My favorite places around the corner are: The restaurant "Due Forni", famous for its pizza and the bar "White trash", famous for its burgers, as well as its stylish ambience and legendary concerts.

But back to my flat, my 50 square-meter paradise, a tranquil oasis in a sleepless city. It's very centrally located, but still peaceful and quiet. You will find a bedroom (bed measures 1.6 x 2.0 meters), as well as a comfortable living room. Should another sleeping possibility be required, then this would be possible on the comfy couch. You will find a clean and cosy bath, with a bathtub, a shower and a washing machine. Moreover, I love cooking and hence, my kitchen will provide wou with everything you need, not only a fridge and an oven.

The price also includes the following:
Wireless internet, free bed sheets and linens, as well as towels .

You will find a nice shower with enough hot water and a heating system, which is really good and extremely warm should you fancy this.

So, I guess I've explained everything about the apartment in some detail. Now it's up to you to make a booking or simply contact me, should you still have any further questions.

  • Nice flat, located near Ubahn stations and walkable distance to Alexanderplatz. Daniel met us at the flat and let us stay on short notice. He gave us lots of information about the neighbourhood. We had a great night at White Trash on his recommendation. The shower was a bit difficult but not really a deal breaker. The place was clean, well equipped and easy to get to. The flat had a washing machine which was very handy for us. Danke Daniel!

  • Mt daughter and I had a great time staying at Daniel's flat. Tastefully furnished and in an excellent location 10 mins walk from Alexanderplatz. The flat was warm with a lot of natural light and good outlook at the back onto a courtyard garden. The bed is large and comfy. Some people may not like the fact that the bedroom hasn't got a wardrobe, just some drawers but for us it wasn't a problem.Definitely recommend the flat.

  • Really nice apartment in a convinient area with public transport nearby. Daniel is a good guy and gave me a quick tour around the area and gave me some recommendations on things to do and see. The place itself is nice and you have plenty of room to move around in with good facilities.

  • I booked a last minute trip to Berlin. The place that I was counting on staying in bumped me so that the renters who were already there could stay on. Daniel was good enough to book me at the very last minute, for which I am very thankful.

Check in time was 2pm, I think, but Daniel had said I could show up early, as long as I didn't expect the place to be clean. I was there at 10:30 am, and exhausted from traveling over night. Daniel had made up the bed already, so I passed out while he finished cleaning up after the previous guest. When I woke up, he had gone, and left me the keys.

The flat is clean and simple, and has everything you need, but the bathroom was kind of a problem for me. The tub sits in front of an unfrosted, floor to ceiling window, which faces the playground in the courtyard. There is no curtain. This means that if you want to take a shower, you have to do it with children and parents from the building watching you.

Even with a curtain in front of the window, a shower would not have been possible. In Europe, a lot of shower nozzles are the removable kind, and on this one, the clip you use to mount it to the wall was broken, so that it dangled flaccidly on the bottom of the tub, spraying upward. I took baths, as I reasoned most Berliners must do.

I probably didn't get the proper orientation from Daniel, since I arrived just a few hours after booking the flat. If I had, maybe he would have told me about the shower or instructed me on how to turn the bathroom light on. In the three days I stayed there, I could not find the switch for it, so I used a high-powered flightlight I randomly happened to bring along.

Other than that, the furniture is comfortable and nice. There is a big table in the middle of the living room which I used for my computer and camera set up. There is wifi, but Daniel made a point of mentioning that he didn't want guests streaming video or downloading anything, porn in particular. If he is truly concerned about it, he should update the tv, which is an ancient and tiny. I didn't go to Berlin to watch television, though, so it wasn't really a concern.

All in all, it was a pleasant stay, with some quirky issues that weren't dealbreakers for me. I'd stay there again, if I could turn the light on in the bathroom and take a shower.

  • A nice and cosy appartment with a very central location. Daniel was a friendly and flexible host and gave good advice on what to do for our little family.

  • Daniel was a great host-- he took the trouble to come meet me even with a late check in and made sure I had everything I needed to settle in. The place itself is really great and ideally located, both for the lively neighbourhood it's in but also how connected you are via public transport to the rest of Berlin. I couldn't recommend this place more.

  • The apartment was simply flawless. It looks even lovelier than on the pictures and it's supplied with everything needed (clean towels, extra blankets, dishes ….even an umbrella!). The location is more than perfect – there are many restaurants\pubs\supermarkets nearby. A train station is a minute away. Daniel was really nice, he helped us with our baggage, introduced us to everything needed in the apartment (wi-fi connection, heating, etc) and advised about places that worth visit. From the first day, without exaggerating, the flat really felt like home. It's quite important if you are travelling (like we did) on wintery, rainy days. We would definitely consider booking the place again in the future if we happen to be in Berlin.

  • I absolutely loved staying in the apartment! It was very nice...bed was super comfortable. The best part about this place is that it is directly downtown. The location is perfect! I would recommend staying here.
