My apartment is in Willamsburg Brooklyn, conveniently located 10 minutes via subway to the East Village in Manhattan. The freshly painted, completely private Master bedroom has high ceilings, hardwood floors and tons of natural light. It is for rent on a daily or weekly basis and will negotiate for longer stays. The room is furnished with a queen size bed, (complete with 1000 thread count sheets), a full length mirror, dresser and closet. Towels, internet access and air conditioning are included. Great for people who are apartment hunting or on vacation! The kitchen and bathroom are clean and functional. Full access to kitchen (complete with new appliances) and peaceful back garden. The neighborhood is safe and lively with easy access to a cheery laundromat less than a half a block away, a deli at the corner and a park around the corner. Five minute walk to the subway, restaurants and bars.
Things you should know to make sure my apartment is for you:
The apartment was tenement housing at the turn of the 20th century and this unique architecture is common to this particular part of Brooklyn, but there are a few quirks.
1. It is a Railroad Style apartment. That means you have to walk
through my bedroom to get to the kitchen and water closet. If you feel
that you will not be comfortable with this set up, my apartment is not
2. The heat is very strong in the Winter. I do not have control of the
thermostat, but if you open the window it is quite pleasant.
3. The self-contained/private shower stall located in the kitchen.
4. The sink is located in the kitchen doubles as kitchen /bathroom sink.
5. The bedroom is at the front of apartment facing the street so there is some traffic noise.

Abigail was a nice host. The apartment was clean and a had a good price/value ratio. apartment is close to public transport, which takes you in 15 minutes to downtown.
Abigail is a lovely host. Her communication was prompt and made it easy to access the apartment when she wasn't there. She's very friendly, polite and accommodating.
The place is indeed very eclectic & classic as described. Her place is perfectly located in East Williamsburg which is only a few short blocks away from any of the main action and easy access to the L. The room was very clean with lots of room and equipped with fresh towels. The bed is super comfortable. Only letdown was that the kitchen & common area was not as clean as in the photos and description. Also the old-style heater made some weird noises on my last night.
Overall, the place is nice & simple - perfect for anyone looking to stay in a cool part of Brooklyn!
Our stay at Abigail's was perfect for our weekend in NYC. Her place was exactly as described, so no surprises there. It's an old but cosy house near an extremely loud and busy road. Abigail left the keys at the deli for us and trusted us. Fresh sheets and towels, clean room. There is a great bagel place across the subway entrance that you definitely need to try out for breakfast. Thanks for welcoming us Abigail!
It was a pleasant stay, very simple and like how its described. We did expect it to be like how it was on the pictures, but things were changed in the house and were more dilapidated than expected. It also smelt like dead mice, something was rotten somewhere.. The kitchen wasnt the cleanest kitchen and the shower wasnt either. Its fine, simple for a short stay.
Although Abigail was in the house, we didn't really see her. Walking through her room to go to the bathroom or shower is perfectly fine.
The room is Nice, its big and you have a lot of space for your stuff. The noise is fine from the street but if you are not used to it Bring earplugs.
The neigherbood is perfect! There are bagel stores, deli's and the subway is 8 min away, which leads you to the L train going downtown.
Overall, its a fine, simple stay. The room is very good, the location is perfect and the house is duable.
Abigail was a very friendly and respectful host, giving us our space while we stayed with her. Everything in the apartment is in quite close quarters so this was important. The East Williamsburg neighbourhood is so lovely and eclectic. Some of our favourite spots to visit were on Lorimer street, only about a 5 minute walk from Abigail's place. There's some cute cafes with great coffee and a wonderful cheese and cured meats shop.
The only thing I would warn about is that the bathroom is part of the kitchen so there's not much shower privacy as there's no door and just a sheet to separate the shower from the kitchen area. I have to admit this was a bit awkward for us as we didn't know this ahead of time. The toilet does however have a closet size space with a door. I just feel this should be noted in case you don't realize before your stay.
All in all our stay was great, safe and clean.
L'hôte nous a bien fait mention de faire comme si l'on était chez soi. La description était différente de ce que l'on a observé sur les photos, mais rien de décevant, mais juste surpris de voir la douche dans la cuisine, mais on si fait. Le quartier? Parfait. Typiquement Brooklyn, typiquement Williamsburg.
