Interaction with Guests
We love to cook and are happy to share dinners with guests or BBQ on the patio if interested.
Our neighborhood is quiet and backs up to Animas City Mountain, with lots of hiking/biking trails and bouldering areas.
There is a grocery store just a few blocks from the house, as well as a trolley stop that will take you downtown. The river is also nearby.
Jarrod & Alpe were great hosts! Cute house with lots of amenities, close to good hiking & good coffee-what more could a person want?!! I give this experience a thumbs up!
Wonderful stay with jarrod and Alpe in Durango. Jarrod was very informative to local activities, bike trails, restaurants and even has maps for guests to borrow. Total winner! Thanks for accommodating us this week. We will be back.
Jarrod was a very welcoming host. The room was as comfy and cozy as depicted in the photos. The house is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and we got to park in the front driveway. An expo at the fairgrounds brought us to town and his house was a stone's throw away. Very convenient. Yet even the drive to downtown only took minutes. This was my first trip to Durango and I fell in love. I highly recommend Jarrod and his wife as hosts.
Jarrod’s house was a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay in Durango while preparing for a backcountry adventure in the Weminuche Wilderness.
Jarrod was helpful and friendly and I loved my morning coffee in the garden and playing with Alpe, his wonderful dog.
I had a great stay with Jarrod in Durango. The house is in a quiet location, close to one of the many trailheads in town. I was able to get out and do some great mountain biking and road biking from the house easily. And Jarrod's dog, Alpe, is the nicest.
Our stay at Jarrod's house was wonderful. We were kindly greeted upon our arrival and loved sharing the space with Alpe (the friendliest dog ever). Our room was just as described- cozy and comfortable. Towels were provided, burritos were shared, and we were sad to leave at the end of our trip! Some of the best hiking spots in all of Colorado are within a short driving distance from the house--definitely check it out!
