Private room and bathroom in the best possible location in Gualeguaychu. One block from the river and the fun, on the nicest street (Alem). It's a quiet street but it is also very close to the restaurants, the beach and the other attractions.
The room is at a beautiful 2-stories house with a garden on a colonial-style street. Free internet access (wifi) and good library. No TV. Great kitchen and breakfast space with a view of the garden.
There is one bathroom for the guests' exclusive use. A big one, with natural light and a tub.
The guests' room has one individual bed, and we can add one or two mattresses on the floor as needed.
We are a family of four in a big house with plenty of space. We're fluent English and Spanish speakers. We know a lot about Gualeguaychu and can give you good advice so that you see the real stuff here.
Gualeguaychú is one of the touristic cities closest to the urban conglomerates in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe and one of the most visited Argentine cities by international tourists. Gualeguaychu features the best Carnival in Argentina, great night life, water sports in the river, great landscapes, great people.
Gustavo and Marina were amazing hosts. We loved how casual the situation was and how comfortable they made us during our stay. We only stayed one night because we had to get back to Uruguay after Carnival. However, the one night was perfect accomidations for our needs. We recommend them glowingly.
Our stay (during carnival from 28.2 – 3.3.2014) at the Faigenbaum family in Gualeguaychu was one of the highlight during our trip. It is a great family, including the charming dog “(website hidden)”, and the house has in general a very relaxed atmosphere, which makes one feel more amongst friends than staying with a host family. We got one of the kids room and our own bath room including bathtub. The room had a direct access to big balcony equipped with chairs and a pleasant view to all the neighbors.
The kitchen area were the center of the house, where we had many pleasant conversations with the whole family and also enjoyed homemade breakfast including Mate-tea or coffee.
The house is located in a very cozy area - close to the river and beaches in addition to many restaurants and bars.
We can only recommend the Faigenbaum resident and hope to come back one day.
Gustavo and family were wonderful hosts - friendly, informative and easy going. They helped make our stay in their sweet city most enjoyable. The room is a bit small for 2 people otherwise all is very good. Highly recommended!
Gustavo and his family are wonderful hosts. They were inviting, helpful and easy-going. We really enjoyed our time in their home. They are also very well situated in Guaygualychu!. They earned a 4.5 star rating - the guest room is a bit small for 2 people.
We highly recommend this place and these people.
Had a lovely 2 night stay with Gustavo, Marina, Lola and Leon. Very welcoming and helped us out wherever they could. Happy to share their local knowledge and happy for us to use their home as a relaxing base. A very positive first Airbnb experience.
Gustavo, Mariana et leurs enfants nous ont vraiment bien accueillis et fait découvrir Gualeguaychu. Leur maison est dans le centre, ce qui a été très pratique pour nous. Ils nous ont initiés à l'art du maté, un grand moment !
Quiet place to stay, perfectly located. We even had the entire appartment for us;-)) Gustavo even thought of preparing a breakfast for us, nice surprise!!! We recommend 5 stars!!
I had an amazing stay with Gustavo and his extremely helpful and open family. The house is centrally located on a quiet street, I came with my car and they let me use their garage. The internet they have is also very fast. I was there over the main carnival weekend and the usual tranquil town of Gualeguaychú, which is located next to a beautiful river, was full of people visiting to experience the largest Carnival of the country. I had an amazing experience, I could relax in their house or in the sun on the balcony and garden and when I wanted to be part of the carnival festivities they were right around the corner. Gustavo's wife even put me in touch with their friends who are very involved in the carnival and I got a real behind the scenes look at the whole production - it was incredible! They also suggested some very nice day trips I did in the beautiful surroundings and invited me to a Barbeque they put on for their friends. It felt to me like a real Argentinian experience and I am very grateful for the beautiful 5 days I got to spend at their place.
After an 18hr flight + 3hr bus trip, let alone my first time and first night in Argentina, I could not ask for a better host. Gustavo was available to answer all my questions (with excellent English) concerning taxis, transportation, getting around Gualeguaychu, and to and from Carnaval, which really helped to calm my travel nerves. His wife and kids are so welcoming and friendly and they have a very cute and gentle dog. The area is safe, and I felt comfortable walking home alone at 2am after the Carnaval festivities had ended. The only thing I regret is not staying longer so that I could spend more time with the family see more of Gualeguaychu and the behind-the-scenes of Carnaval.
Abbiamo pernottato qui solo una notte per il carnevale.
La casa è in una ottima posizione per andare in spiaggia, in una zona tranquilla sia di giorno che di sera.
I proprietari sono simpatici e disponibili per qualsiasi cosa.
Esperienza complessivamente positiva.
