Private room and shared bathroom in the best possible location in Gualeguaychu. One block from the river and the fun, on the nicest street (Alem). It's a quiet street but it is also very close to the restaurants, the beach and the other attractions.
The room is at a beautiful 2-stories house with a garden on a colonial-style street. Free internet access (wifi) and good library. No TV. Great kitchen and breakfast space with a view of the garden.
Although the bathroom will be used by the guests at this room only most of the time, the family might need to access the bathroom occasionally. The bathroom is very nice: it's big, has natural light and a tub.
The guests' room has one individual bed, and we can add one or two mattresses on the floor as needed.
We are a family of four in a big house with plenty of space. We're fluent English and Spanish speakers. We know a lot about Gualeguaychu and can give you good advice so that you see the real stuff here.
Gualeguaychú is one of the touristic cities closest to the urban conglomerates in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe and one of the most visited Argentine cities by international tourists. Gualeguaychu features the best Carnival in Argentina, great night life, water sports in the river, great landscapes, great people.
We encourage our guests to use the different spaces in the house: The living room, the kitchen, and the patio, which is huge and is the best place to have breakfast.
Interaction with Guests
We are there to give you all the information you need about Gualeguaychú and help you move around.
We are in the "El Puerto" neighborhood in Gualeguaychú which we consider to be the best. It has restaurants, night life, easy access to public and private beaches, big colonial streets, and a promanade along the river.
Most attractions are within walking distance from the house. If you don't feel like walking, the easiest way to move around here is by using "remises" (cabs you call on the phone) which are cheap.
Other Things to Note
If you need parking space let me know and we can do arrangements for an extra fee.
There no special rules.
Guests can use everything in the house: computers, the washing machine, everything in the kitchen.
We expect people to be nice, clean and honest, and use their common sense.
We want people to be happy.
My home in Gualeguaychu. Everything about the Carnival I got all from Marina and Gustavo, transport ,VIP seat reservation, activities ....the most amazing is that they took me to take part in their local neighborhood carnival parade ,I was acting as that cat in Alice 'adventures in wonderland.wow, it will be my beautiful memory in my life. The location is very good, near the carnival site,by walk along the river for 20minuetes, restaurant nearby, quiet neighborhood. Thank u so much ,Dear Marina and Gustavo...
Fabulous hosts, made us feel very welcome and helped with all our questions. House is in a perfect location one block from the river. Lovely breakfast in the garden. Many thanks Gustavo for our stay.
Gustavo is a great host... the family is open and warm! You feel very welcome!
We were in gualeguaychu during carnival and on friday Gustavo and marina took us to their carnavalgroup and we ended up walking with them in costume in the local parade!
Gustavo will help you where he can!
I recommend you stay here when you want to visit gualegauychu!
Gustavo and Marina were amazing hosts. We loved how casual the situation was and how comfortable they made us during our stay. We only stayed one night because we had to get back to Uruguay after Carnival. However, the one night was perfect accomidations for our needs. We recommend them glowingly.
Our stay (during carnival from (phone number hidden)) at the Faigenbaum family in Gualeguaychu was one of the highlight during our trip. It is a great family, including the charming dog “Facebook”, and the house has in general a very relaxed atmosphere, which makes one feel more amongst friends than staying with a host family. We got one of the kids room and our own bath room including bathtub. The room had a direct access to big balcony equipped with chairs and a pleasant view to all the neighbors.
The kitchen area were the center of the house, where we had many pleasant conversations with the whole family and also enjoyed homemade breakfast including Mate-tea or coffee.
The house is located in a very cozy area - close to the river and beaches in addition to many restaurants and bars.
We can only recommend the Faigenbaum resident and hope to come back one day.
Gustavo and family were wonderful hosts - friendly, informative and easy going. They helped make our stay in their sweet city most enjoyable. The room is a bit small for 2 people otherwise all is very good. Highly recommended!
