Perfect business suite for one or two that do not want the crowd of hotels. Completely furnished with all business amenities, balcony -with full kitchen to use at any time. This is a popular get-away for those attending the Expo Center!
The SAN URIEL SUITE is the most popular and the largest private room in this large, well appointed home.
It comfortably hosts 1 or two persons with plenty of space for extreme comfort and privacy in an already great neighborhood, Chapalita!
Including the well stocked en-suite, it has a private balcony that gives the suite even more space to relax on with a partner or a laptop with very high broadband speeds/wifi. For those who prefer the indoors, a desk and printer are set up for your business needs. This whole house has better business offering than some of the sharp new hotels that have opened in this great neighborhood.
If a quiet night with a spouse or partner is needed, and privacy is imperative, this room is recommended. HDTV is offered in this room.
Kitchen is open 24/7 for use of all guests. We have a washer and dryer on premise. Phone calls are free of charge. Fast wi-fi is throughout the house as well as cabled HDTV in this particular room with an en suite. All downstairs rooms are for our guests to use ,including the back yard. Parking is secured on site as well, again all inclusive of price.
Interaction with Guests
I am in an apartment in the back, but can be reached by cell from the house phone if I am not around, if anyone needs me. I find that most guests like each other and do spend SOME time together or just become friends right away. But if you want some privacy, you have as much as you need in your own room. Again, I am always reachable by cell- to answer questions or help out in any way I can.
It is a friendly neighborhood that has parks and neighbors that actually say hello to each other. The streets are wide and sidewalks are not pushing grounds. We are a couple of blocks form two supermarkets and some of the most cost effective to superb dining in the city.
Public transit is two blocks away and goes everywhere for about 80 cents! Or we can call you a taxi that can pick you up at the front gate. An average cab fare to the Spanish colonial area of the city might cost about 4 usd! But it is still just minutes away. I find that it is just nice to hear crickets at night for sleeping rather than the noise of the downtown. It will always be there if you wish to continue the vast amount of things to do and see in this exciting city!
Other Things to Note
The room takes up a large portion of the upper floor and is very private. The house is close to supermarkets and lots of restaurants of any cuisine.
NO Smoking permitted
Kitchen open 24/7-- please leave tidy for other guests.
Washer and dryer for daylight use only, at no additional charge
Although I was raised in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, I consider myself a Californian. After 30 years of working in the high end hospitality business, I moved to Mexico- something planned for a long time. Colonia Chapalita in Guadalajara is the perfect neighborhood to enjoy the comforts of a large gated home and a great neighborhood with parks surrounding the property. And that was just what looking for!
Now that I am enjoying people from all over, I seem to be getting people that enjoy this uncrowded and private house in the new elegant, yet pricey hotel district. It is perfect to come home to get a good nights , ready for the next days' adventure.
This is not restored villa- but is a very well maintained large home with lots of amenities and privacy in a safe and pretty area of Guadalajara.
I want guests to enjoy their stay by making themselves feel at home from the time they arrive. I respect the privacy of all guests, as I do for myself. But I am always reachable to encourage them to try all of this area's restaurants of many different cuisines, and of course the fascinating Colonial Spanish architecture in every direction. I have had a good time meeting so many travellers for business, pleasure or both! The nightlife is everywhere as well that caters to all walks of life- at all hours of the day!
I welcome in advance the next group of 'price savvy travelers' who know a great deal when traveling with friends. Why pay for an elegant hotel that surround us-when you can have an entire home for much less? I am ready to answer any questions you may have. Although I do not get a lot of reviews on this particular site, I can be easily looked up on travel sites for a better idea of what I think is important for my guests.
Saludos de Guadalajara,
