This smaller room in this large house gives a feeling of privacy with a small balcony. It is a great room for the business traveller or student that wants to be in a more "connected" part of the city!
This bright and sunny room is in the back of the house, having windows and a balcony facing the East. It has all built in closets and drawers, and overlooks the backyard. It has two doors that lead to two different stairways and exits giving it an added amenity.
The bedroom can be arranged for a double bed, 2 singles, or a queen sized bed.
The guests should feel at home. The fully equipped kitchen is open 24/7, with private cupboards and space in a large side by side refrigerator-freezer.
The neighborhood is in Colonia Chapalita, a well maintained neighborhood with 2 parks on either side of the house. If eating out-there are over 20 restaurants of ALL cuisines within walking distance from this property. Shops a plenty-not counting major malls that are plentiful in the West end.
Public transit is inexpensive and runs 24/7, 2 blocks from the house. Our own taxi service can be called as well. Very fast service at the correct rates!
This home is mostly rented by persons that want to see Guadalajara and it's neighboring villages, or for those who need to be in the business hub of Guadalajara and need fast internet and all other office amenities (inclusive of the cost of a room). We tend to have a home that fits the American style of furnishings with a flair of Mexican color. Mexico is right outside of the front gate for all of your souvenirs of your trip!
Kitchen, washer and dryer ,parking, TV in room. cable, free phone calls
Interaction with Guests
For whatever you may need, I can be reached by cell. I have an apt. in the back of the house, but cell is really the way to reach me at any time. Some people are here for fun, others for business. You decide your level of privacy while respecting the other guests that may be in other rooms.
This is a neighborhood of the founding fathers of the historical center. It is full of tree lined streets and wide sidewalks, parks on either side of the house-and friendly people. It is close to supermarkets and any possible shopping you could possibly need. There are at least 29 fine dining restaurants as well and great pizza, tacos and other local delicacies that are known in Guadalajara.
Transit is everywhere ,with at least 10 lines within a 2 block radius. A taxi can be called straight to the house as well-with the correct rates!
Other Things to Note
A few of the rooms in this house make great student housing in a nicer home than most students seem to be offered when coming to Guadalajara for studying Spanish or going to UAG for a doctor's degree. They have more privacy to study in.
No smoking indoors. You may go to the street or to the back yard. I have tried to be more lenient by asking people to go outside. The cigarettes butts found anywhere on the property will reflect in your deposit.
Kitchen is open 24/7 for guests. Although we have maid service, it is appreciated to clean up after yourself for others to enjoy a clean kitchen as well.
Washer and Dryer on site. ( Daylight Hours, please)
We offer the highest speed internet available right now in the city at 100mgs. It is not as fast as some cities in the U.S., but it IS faster than most hotels in Guadalajara that charge you for the privilege-after paying very high prices in this pricier neighborhood of Guadalajara.
Enjoy your stay and save money!
Although I was raised in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, I consider myself a Californian. After 30 years of working in the high end hospitality business, I moved to Mexico- something planned for a long time. I am easy going, allow my guest their privacy-yet am around if they need anything or any information that is not posted. I am easy to get along with and you are free to make my home yours when you are here!
