The place is big, cozy and has lots of space. Location is great for moving around since subway is so near and San Telmo highlights are walking distance.

I just stayed here for a month (June-July, so winter season) and my priority was to find a place with a piano I could use for my work, but there are so many reasons this is a great choice for a short or extended stay in Buenos Aires. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and I chose to cook for friends more than to eat out, even though there are several excellent restaurants a short walk away. The apartment has no privacy doors between living and bedroom areas (so only really works for a solo traveller or couple), but is otherwise very well designed for all seasons and the heating works very well, the washer/dryer is convenient, and the bathroom is stylish. Comfortable bed and plenty of closet space. The living room couch is also very comfortable and the hammock is a bonus, as is the piano of course! The building has real character and friendly neighbors. There was a power outage of 15 hours one night but the neighbors assured me it's normal throughout the city and they're working hard to reduce occurrences - just be prepared. San Telmo is, like the apartment, full of character and atmosphere. The main market is definitely the best place to get fruits and vegetables and also has good butchers and a delicious street parrilla after 2pm; there is also a wine/grocery store just south of Independencia on the same street as the apartment with much better prices than the supermarket. Subte and bus are around the corner, as are banks and the post office. Ura was always a fast and helpful communicator and check-in was very smooth with assistance from the doorman. I hope to be able to stay here again and it definitely felt like home after a week or so.

The place is certainly big, airy and feels cozy like home. The kitchen is complete, everything you need. The place is very silent both during day and night. If you're a night owl like me, you'll wake up everyone that is sleeping because the floor creaks a lot while walking. That's not a problem, it's just an observation. The internet was quite patchy as well. I had to work while I was there so that was a problem for me only. If you are in Buenos Aires, you should not work, though! :)

My wife and I spend 4 wonderful weeks in Ura's very charming apartment. The communication with Ura was excellent. She checked in from time to time to see how we are doing and she gave us great recommendations for restaurants and bars. The place itself is exactly as described and feels even more spacious than you can see in the pictures. Since we stayed for so long we really appreciated the very well equipped kitchen. Preparing big meals was absolutely no problem. The bathroom is newly renovated and the nice big shower gives it a luxury touch. The bed is very comfortable but not the largest. The living room is very spacious and great for both working and just hanging out. Overall the apartment was fantastic and we would definitely recommend a stay at Ura's.

Stayed here over Christmas 2016 with my girlfriend (Argentinian). LOCATION: The flat is not right in the centre of San Telmo (e.g. by the S.T. Market / Plaza Dorrego) like another AirBnB place I have stayed in previously, but is certainly within a reasonable walking distance, so a great location because it is both near enough to central S.T. but also only 1 street over from Avenue 9 De Julio - which outweighs the walk to central ST. For me, there isn't so much to do in S.T. that it is all you would want to visit, and being next to 9 De Julio means the rest of the city is on your doorstep. For those that don't know - it is the main street for catching buses or the subway all over the city. So if you have your sights set on seeing more of the city than just S.T. this is actually a very good location. You can also find most of the ATMs on 9 De Julio (intersection 9 Julio with Carlos Calvo / or 9 Julio with Belgrano), with only 1 other ATM in central S.T. itself (which didn't work for me). So it is a good choice if you want to be near enough to S.T. but also branch out and be able to get to / see (and get cash out to pay for) a visit that includes the rest of the city. Many machines only give $2,000 pesos per day so you may need to visit more than once if planning to pay by cash for things. THE FLAT: The flat has a few wobbly floorboards etc. - so over-demanding people expecting unrealistic 5 star hotel perfection from a charming old apartment block in B.A. might be able to find faults... but for those looking to "keep it real" and have a real AirBnB experience (a taste of how locals live), I'd have no problem in recommending Ura's place. People say "hola" to you in passing and you see and smell people sitting down to dinner. The flat itself is on the end of the block though so you don't feel too crowded in by the neighbours. URA: Ura herself is communicative and responds quickly to messages, even if she isn't physically around herself at the time - so no concerns there. She was helpful & accommodated an early check in for me by arranging with the cleaner that I could drop my bags and then get coffee / breakfast in San Telmo while she finished cleaning.

The apartment is very airy and bright, and is a pleasant, well-organized space. With high ceilings, many double doors, and a wood floor, the place is quite charming. The kitchen is well-equipped and very usable. The air conditioning and bedroom ceiling fan work well, as does the washer-dryer. There is a moderate amount of noise during the day, since the apartment opens onto an indoor air well and the building had many dogs, but everything quiets down at night completely. The apartment would be exceptionally quiet were it not for the low rumble of air conditioner noise from a neighboring building. The apartment is on the top floor and the roof of the neighboring building is adjacent. If you are interested in tango, the location is excellent, and many milongas are within walking distance. The subway (Subte) is very close, and a major north-south street with many buses is also quite close. The neighborhood is a mixture of arty and poor, with wonderful architectural details on many buildings. The apartment is in a building across from a major police station and police are on duty outside, in front of their building (and ours) all the time. This makes for a special feeling of safety if you are coming home quite late. Ura is wonderful to deal with, and the resident "doorman" who fixes things and keeps the building in great shape, Alberto, is very helpful.
