About This Listing
Hello, we are Giorgia and Michael, and this was our home until march 2012 ... This is our first home together, everything was chosen with love and following our own tastes, or the result of our trips. The house consists of a small but well-fitted kitchen with fridge, stove, oven, microwave and everything you need to prepare your dinners. The living room is my favorite part, has 2 windows overlooking a beautiful garden and a red sofa bed where you can relax while watching the moon ... In the bedroom you find a double bed and a huge wardrobe, which is all at your disposal. We will be happy to share with you our space and give you the feeling of real Venetians life.

Giorgia met us at the train station (she had to wait over an hour as the train was late). The apartment was exactly as described - in fact even better than that and very close to the station. Giorgia made us feel very welcome and the neighbourhood and surrounding area was perfect - opening the window and looking down in Rio Marin was a thrill
Michele met us at the train station and took us to the apartment. He took the time to show us where some local restaurants were located, and his recommendations for restaurants. The restaurant diary of past visitors was also very helpful. We felt we could contact him or Giorgia if any issue came up.
Georgia really made us feel welcome and although she was out of town on the day we arrived she kindly sent a friend to meet us from the bus.
The apartment was lovely - modern, clean and in a great location. Only 5 minutes walk from the bus or train station but in a lovely old part of the city overlooking a beautiful canal.
There were plenty of restaurant recommendations in the flat which really helped us choose where to eat.
We had a fantastic time in Venice - I would come back again and would stay in Georgia's apartment again
We really loved our stay at Giorgia and Michele's apartment. Anna met us at the station, showed us to the apt., and spent a lot of time with us giving tips on places to eat and drink in Venice. The apartment was clean and well equipped (dishwasher, dishes, hairdryer, some maps and books from previous visitors, internet, etc), and we especially loved how comfortable the bed was! The view from the kitchen window was also beautiful, and I loved looking out early in the morning and later at night, watching the neighborhood go about its business.
The location is truly the best part about this apartment. It was so close to the train station and the vaporetto, but in a neighborhood (Santa Croce) where it was easy to get away from touristy streets and feel like we were in another world, the real Venice, not the Venice that can feel like Disney World. We walked almost everywhere, and when we were finally exhausted or needed to go somewhere a little further, the vaporetto was right there. Our goal is always to travel like locals, so this really was a great apartment for us. We loved being so near the Conad grocery store and feeling like we were going "home" at night instead of to a hotel.
Being able to do a little laundry was also a plus, and one of the specific reasons we chose this listing as it allowed us to travel very light. We didn't need to use the A/C but the heat worked well.
Note: The apartment is on the third floor and there are only stairs, which was no problem for us at all, but anyone with mobility issues should take note.
We have already talked about returning someday!!! We loved Venice and loved this apartment. Grazie mille!
It was my first Airbnb experience and it was wonderful.
If you want to have a memorable vacation in Venice I recommend you to stay in Giorgia&Michele's apartment.
Very convenient location (2 min from the train station), amazing view, cozy atmosphere, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, quiet in the nights and everything good that the other guests have written.

Ristorante e pizzeria.
