This is an amazing gem right in the heart of central London in one of the best areas in the city. Situated right next to the famous Abbey Road Studios and that famous zebra crossing, you will be able to reach anywhere in London with ease. There are 2 tube stations nearby (St John's Wood - Jubilee Line and Maida Vale - Bakerloo Line) as well as 2 bus routes that go directly to Waterloo and Oxford Circus in 10/15 minutes.
The room is a very peaceful large double with lots of storage space and ideal for visiting London on a weekend break or for someone needing to be in the city for work purposes for longer period. We provide all bedding, towels, TV, Wi-Fi etc, and you can have full access to the lounge and kitchen as you wish.
We are very used to having company in the flat and love learning about new cultures.
Our interests are theatre, restaurants, coffee, cinema and of course London!
This neighbourhood is green and peaceful with great links to anywhere in London. It has a beautiful High St, fantastic hospital with 24 hour casualty service, and close to Regents Park and Primrose Hill.
Perfect location to central London (one stop on the underground to Baker Street/2 stops to Bond Street) and 24 hr buses which take 10 minutes to the main shopping area.
No smoking in the house, there is plenty of space in the pretty courtyard outside. Unfortunately no uninvited guests - the room is for the person/people on the original booking only - and please, no food in the room.
There are no other rules that are important enough to mention on here - info like how to use the shower, where to store your food etc - all will be explained when you get here. It's a very relaxed and homely apartment!
I had a great time in the very nice and cosy apartment during my one month stay. The apartment was quiet and warm (even in cold November). Sarah was the perfect host and had a lot of great suggestions on what to see and where to eat in London. She is also lovely to chat with in the evenings. The the location of the apartment is super, a short walk to two tube stops on two different underground lines. Busses that within 10-15 min takes you to Baker Street (and further on to Oxford Street/Piccadilly) stops just outside the house. The area of Maida Vale/St Johns Wood is nice and safe. I wonder would definitely stay there again and really recommend it you!
Sarah was the perfect host for my 2-month stay! She was incredibly welcoming and helpful when it came to settling in and figuring out things to do and see in and around London. In terms of the flat itself, it is in an ideal location- beautiful, calm neighborhood near Primrose (website hidden). John's Wood High Street is charming and very close by. Two different tube lines accessible by a 10-minute walk- very easy to get everywhere in London (Westminster, Hyde Park, King's Cross, etc). The room was cozy, with great storage and light. Again, Sarah is the perfect host and I will miss staying with her! Couldn't recommend this place more!
My stay at Sarah's place was lovely. The neighborhood was excellent-- very easy to get to the center of town and a safe, quiet place to live. The apartment itself was very nice: clean, charming, and with all the conveniences to make the stay comfortable. Sarah was also a wonderful host, providing great tips on what to do in London, where to eat, etc. She was also a joy to chat with over dinner and was very accommodating to my schedule and needs while I was there. Staying here made my stay in London really great!
I stayed at Sarah and Tim's house for 3 months and couldn't be better.
Sarah is the nicest person I have ever met and she made my experience even more amazing.
My room was very comfy, the hole is perfect and the location couldn't be better: in five minutes you get to 2 different stations or to a bus stop! Not to say that the neighborhood is so trustful!
Certainly coming back and going to be Sarah's friend forever!!
My husband was in hospital so as you can imagine it was a difficult time plus being away from home and my children but Sarah made me feel very welcome and at home. It was an absolute pleasure to meet her and Tim even though it was only briefly and I would highly recommend them to anyone and would definitely stay there again.
The best host ever! Clean and cosy bedroom and bathroom, the bed is amazingly comfortable, highly recommended for tourists who need a good night sleep after a tiring day in the city! Convenient location with easy access to the underground. Sarah is an amazing host, we shared a lot of good times with her in her lovely lounge!
Our room was lovely, cosy and the bed is so comfortable! Her place is a 5-10 min walk from both Maida Vale and St.Johns wood tube stations and there are convenient bus routes just across the road towards main areas like Oxford Circus.
Staying with Sarah has been an absolute joy! She is warm, welcoming, always very helpful and honest. We have become great friends and will definitely consider staying with her again when we come back to London.
We are both very passionate about London, love to eat out, discover new places, drink coffee and take in all that London has to offer. I have spent many years working in the events world and now a newly qualified couples therapist, Tim still works very much in the world of events and this year will be a very big one for him as he will be responsible for a large chunk of delivering the Olympics to London. Amongst the favourite places we visit are France (South of), Spain - particularly Seville and Barcelona, and Northern Ireland where I grew up. Love theatre, cinema and live music (intend to see more live bands in 2012 than I have done the past couple of years!)
It's lovely having people to visit and to be able to share this great location. It's very relaxed and for anyone who comes here I'd like them to feel that for their stay this is their home.
