Although we both have traveled in Europe, it was the first time my (adult)son and I would be in Italy and we were very excited about the trip and using AirBnb. We felt that by staying in an appartment or room we would be closer to the local people.
Even before we left home, our host was in contact with us and made us feel very welcome, answering questions and offering to help us plan our time in Rome. The description of the neighborhood as lively drew us in and it was very accurate. Right outside the tall old elegant wood doors that led to our new "home" was a street with little shops, cafes, gelato shops and teaming with people day and night and just a short walk to Campo di Fiori and Piazzo Navona--two of the livliest squares with great restaurants--shops, lots of friendly people--both locals and from all over the world-- great recommendations provided by our host.
Thank you very much Stefano for helping to make our visit to Rome so perfect!!!! Ciao! We will meet again!

4 of us stayed in Rome for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable comfortable stay. However the best thing about Stefano's flat is its location. Numerous bars and restaurants located just outside the door as well as supermarket only 2 minutes walk away. All the main attractions were in very walkable distances also. Although we had slight trouble contacting Stefano before we arrived all was fine. Only negative point is the kitchen could have been slightly better equipped but it was still sufficient.
The best thing about Stefano's flat is the location. Piazza Navona is one of the best piazzas in Rome, both day and evening, and the back streets great to explore. It is within walking distance of most of the major sights and the area feels safe. Buses a short walk away too. As others say, it has no windows, which is odd but this proved to have its own advantages - it helps to make this a very quiet flat in a busy area and keep the flat cool as well as private. Aircon worked well - a plus in August. Wi-Fi free but (website hidden) available - all Italian, of course. Stefano owns the shop (leather bags) next door and popped in to sort a problem we had with the Wi-Fi and TV but was otherwise not seen. Stefano did meet us at the agreed time for a 30-second (?!) whistle-stop introduction to his flat and handover of keys. We were a party of 3 but there are beds for 7 and in addition the sofas may convert? Could easily accommodate a large family or group of friends. The shower was clean, had good pressure and hot water. The kitchen is very small but has all you need. Bed linen and towels clean. There are a number of good eating places very near, including one just outside the flat. We would stay here again. Location, location, location. Thank you, Stefano.
Appartement très bien situé. L'ambiance intérieure est surprenante en l'absence de fenêtres.
L'accueil a été rapide mais le propriétaire est accessible toute la journée a deux pas.
L'état de propreté laisse à désirer en revanche.
I am very happy with my stay in the apartment.
Stephano was more than helpful in every way it was needed.
The location is perfect, walking distance from all major site seen.
Recommended for everyone.
Lovely little apartment set in the ideal location. Stefano was the perfect landlord, always on hand to help, even forgiving us when we broke the key in the door lock! Restaurant opposite is certainly worth a try. Would certainly stay here again if we were to visit Rome.
Stefano has a shop right next to the place and was very polite and patient. The apartment itself is big, with airy high ceilings in the main bedroom, and is mostly clean. What is best about the place is the area: there are many eateries nearby, the street is cool, and it is close to many of Rome's central attractions. Beware that if you drive, Rome parking is difficult and expensive.
