The space

We are pleased to welcome you to our unique place. The cottage is located on a hillside in the middle of a virgin Mediterranean shrub forest and offers a beautiful view of the valley and the vineyards. It is on the border of the Cevennes National Park, near the Medieval town of Anduze.

The cottage was built in the 16st century and was used by local wine grape and silk farmers until recently. It was traditionally renovated in 2008 and is now the perfect place to stay if you want to spend a great holiday in the region.

We offer a bed and breakfast that combines comfort, tranquility, and relaxation in the nature.
The B&B has a bedroom with a double bed and a small fridge, a living room with 2 single beds, a bathroom with a bath and a WC/toilet. The "French breakfast" is included.

The B&B is 50 m² and is perfect for up to 4 people. It's located on the first floor and has a shared garden/yard, and a shared swimming pool.

It is possible to rent the whole house (cottage "Voûtains" on the first floor + bed and breakfast on the second floor). The house can then host up to 9 people comfortably. (See our listing “Beautiful cottage in the Cevennes").

We rent the B&B on a daily basis.
It is only accessable by car, which you can rent in Ales (by Avis) by the train station, or in Montpellier and Nimes by the train station or airport.

Guest access

Guests have access to a private parking shared with other guests from the other 2 cottages.
They also have access to a shared swimming pool and the garden around it.
There is also a tennis table and a petanque game set at there disposal.

The neighborhood

The cottage is located on a hillside in the middle of a virgin Mediterranean shrub forest and offers a beautiful view of the valley and the vineyards. It is on the border of the Cevennes National Park, near the Medieval town of Anduze. There are a lot of activities around the cottage.
You'll find a park where kids can climb up the trees in the wood just down the hill.
There are great trekking trails around for nature lovers and natural caves to visit.
If you like the vibe of the south of France's towns, Anduze, Nimes, Ales, Vezenobres, Uzes, the Pont Du Gard and plenty of other beautiful villages are all within reasonable distance from the cottage.

Getting around

The place is only accessable by car, which you can rent in Ales (by Avis) at the train station, or in Montpellier and Nimes at the train station or airport.

Other things to note

There is Wi-Fi at the cottage but it is very slow because our modem is far from the nearest dsl hub. It means that you can check your email or surf online but you can't watch videos.

Our stay with Martine was fantastic - Martine was super friendly, recommending fantastic places to travel to during the day. Her house has been beautifully restored and is a nice quiet retreat for anyone wanting to get away and explore Provence. We would recommend this place to everyone - it's a great Air BnB find. Thanks so much Martine!!!!!

A little gem! Set in the hills with magnificent views this place has all the charm and tranquility you could wish for. The recently converted stone buildings offer all of the modern conveniences with rustic charm. The gardens and swimming pool are delightful, which is only topped by the friendly, discreet and efficient service from the host, Martine. Simon, Jo and family

We were very happy to stay AT&T martine's b&b room. It was very clean spacious and tasteful. The kids loved the pool and the ping-pong tabel.

We were welcomed by Martine, the owner of the house. She showed us to our rooms, and let us in the garden and swimmingpool. She speaks English and French and was very helpfull in choosing a nice restaurant on our first evening and made a lovely breakfast every morning. Besides the two bedrooms (one for us and one for our daughter) we could use the livingroom with a large tv and terrase. The area is beautiful with the parc Cevennes nearby. Anduze is a nice town visiting and dinner. We choose to stay in this neighbourhood because my husband and I booked a motorcycle trackday on the circuit of Ales, which is only a 15 minutes drive away.

This house is an absolute gem. It has tons of character and is large enough so that we (a family of four) had all the privacy we hoped for. The owner, Martine, was fantastic - friendly, welcoming, helpful, and a pleasure chatting with. With only the hesitation that the word will get out, I cannot recommend these accommodations highly enough.

Hi, I'm Nicolas, 33, and I rent my living room in Paris and my mother's cottages in the south of France. I like languages and cultures. I lived several years in Berlin and in Utrecht (The Netherlands) and now I am back in Paris. Last but not least, I like meeting new people from different backgrounds and different countries and show them some of the great things that Paris has to offer. If you have questions, don't hesitate, we can chat in French, English, German or Dutch.
Just come to visit us, whether in my cozy Parisian home or in my mother's cottage in the beautiful and sunny south of France!
