We are pleased to welcome you to our unique place. The cottage is located on a hillside in the middle of a virgin Mediterranean shrub forest and offers a beautiful view of the valley and the vineyards. It is on the border of the Cevennes National Park, nearby the middle ages town of Anduze.
The cottage was built in the 16st century and was used by local wine grape and silk farmers until recently. It was traditionally renovated in 2008 and is now the perfect place to stay if you want to spend a great holiday in the region.
We offer a bed and breakfast that combines comfort, calm, and relaxation in nature.
The B&B has a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with 2 single beds, a bathroom with a bath and a WC/toilet. The "French breakfast" is included.
The B&B is 50 m² and is perfect for up to 4 people. It's located on the first floor and has a shared garden/yard, and a shared swimming pool.
It is possible to rent the whole house (cottage "Voûtains" on the first floor + bed and breakfast on the second floor). The house can then host confortably up to 9 people.(see our listing "beautiful cottage in the Cevennes").
We rent the B&B on a daily basis.
It is only accessable by car, which you can rent in Ales (by Avis) by the train station, or in Montpellier and Nimes by the train station or airport.
We had a blissful two night stay in this beautiful tranquil home, and Martine was absolutely lovely, making us feel really welcome, helping with recommendations and just being genuinely a lovely lady!
What a beautiful location and BnB! We loved staying here and our hosts were very helpful and especially Martine who was just lovely. By the way Martine, we had a great drive to Montpellier visiting the places you suggested too! I wish we could have stayed longer. Our only suggestion would perhaps be some directions for guests so they know where to park, we found the windy narrow road a bit scary and hard to turn around in when we accidentally went past the park!
Really, this place is AMAZING!
Thank you so much for letting us stay.
Me and my friends had a wonderful day and night at this place. Nicolas mother was adorable and the surrounding is everything you could ask for. I could recommend this to anyone who would want to live in a beautiful house with a great hostess.
We stayed only one night but had a wonderful time. Thist place is VERY! charming and Martine too. After our long driving from Switzerland to southern France it was like a little oasis.
A bientot, Marianne
I stayed at the B&B in Cervennes two days this summer together with my husband and two small children. It was really, really nice. The house, garden and surroundings are lush, green and very beautiful, the pool a wonderful place to cool off. The house is charmingly renovated, clean and very comfortable.
We felt right at home immediately and Nicola's mother who lives on the premise is both very helpful but also very nice company and interesting to talk to. Would definitely go back another time!
WOW! we loved our stay - authentic, beautiful, spotless house and divine garden, very kind and welcoming Martine, set in the most lovely landscape and area. We only stayed one night which was a huge mistake - next time 1 month!! Martine recommended a lovely restaurant and we couldn't get our girls out of the pool. Highly recommended for a wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our short stay very much. The region seems less developed compared to the famous Provence (just across the Rhône river) and aside from pockets of tourists it is more genuine with the same beautiful landscapes and lovely stone villages. So one gets the same experience in a less commercial setting. But if you are set on the famous sites in the Provence it is an easy short days' trip. We chose to check out the Camargue and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer; it would have been nice to have more time to explore that beautiful ecosystem in more detail. That alone would be worth another trip. There are quite a few sites to explore in the immediate vicinity also. Martine was very helpful as well as friendly and interesting to talk to. She certainly went well above and beyond her duty to make sure we had everything we needed. The place itself is clean, light, comfortable and clean. The stone house is typical of the region, renovated within keeping of the original design. It is great to be able to jump in the pool or just sit in the garden with a good book after a busy day visiting the area.
We had a magnificent stay. Martine was a delightful and kind host who takes care of this magnificent property.
Our room was spotless clean and we felt very comfortable in all areas of the house. The swimming pool was amazing in the hot weather, especially looking over the vineyard.
I would gladly return and highly recommend.
