Neighborhood highlights

The quiet historic neighborhood that surrounds the Lodge is the most unique in Georgetown. Just across the street is a little park where one can quietly reflect or rent it for an outdoor picnic or private reception-weddings are popular in this small park (visit historicgeorgetown.org for daily rental fees). The property is a very short walk to the historic downtown where you can shop, visit museums, ride the famous Loop Railroad, dine, or enjoy a cocktail or microbrew. As an East Coast native transplanted to the Rockies, I was drawn to the adventure and beauty of the American West 30 long years ago. We love to travel, & although our children have grown up & our travel destinations and desires have evolved, it’s still just as thrilling planning a trip. I'm happiest in the mountains hiking, camping, birding, & gardening at high altitude (8,530’ is no piece of cake!). Georgetown is a special town & I'm thrilled to share Georgetown, CO with the world!
