Here is another review from a guest that stayed in this St Kilda apartment:

Silke, Germany
"We had a lovely time at St. Kilda. The appartment was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being right in the middle of the St. Kilda buzz, a short distance walk from the beach, shops, restaurants, bars and the tram into town. Having internet access, a TV and VCR, the place felt like home to us and both our kids. Thanks to our hosts- we will come back!"

  • Such a great location, a short stroll to Acland street and all those cake shops! (and cafe's, boutiques, bars, ice cream shops supermarkets trams etc !)
The Unit is quite small but clean and functional, the welcome bottle of wine and Tim Tam's is a nice touch ! All in all great value for money

  • Our stay was excellent. We found the flat in a clean and well maintained condition with a welcome pack which was a nice touch. Susanne greated us and was friendly and infromative. Susanne made it clear that they were contactable if we needed it but other than that we were left to our own devices which suited us and did make us feel like locals. The apartment is situated in a location that is very handy for the trams and the attractions of Ackland Street but is quiet enough to be comfortable and relaxing. I would be very happy to stay here again and would recomend to anybody wanting easy access to Melbourne but to have the beach and feel of a small town as well.

the hosts have been very supportive and responded immediately to any request.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Simone and Giuseppe's apartment. It's right in the heart of St. Kilda - which means one minute to Acland Street where all the bars, restaurant and cake shops are. I especially liked the interior and design of the place - we felt like home immediately.

  • I booked this apartment for my parents to stay in, when they came to Melbourne to see me. They had a ball. Everything they needed was at their fingertips. We'd definitely book again! Highly recommend!

  • Tucked back off a quiet road, this apartment was in a great location for all that St Kilda has to offer. All we needed was in the apartment, and when we had questions, they were promptly answered. Thank you!

  • Our hosts were very easy to communicate with. They made sure everything was prepared for our arrival and came by to make sure we had settled in ok. The unit itself is ideally located and is very pleasant and clean.

  • This is a fantastic little appt, super clean at a very reasonable cost. It is fully equipped (even has a washing machine) and nicely renovated older appt in a pretty quiet area.

Overall it is a truly exceptional value for Melbourne, especially if you are traveling with 4 people. The kitchen has full utensils, pots & pans are new, small fridge is clean and works great, toaster and kettle are new & work great. Through all the small details, you can tell that the hosts care about the comfort of their guests and have a passion for hospitality.

We spent 3 nights in Melbourne using the appt as our home base. Within 10 minutes walking distance on Acland street there are many funky places to eat, coffee shops & bakeries and there is also a Coles supermarket on the same strip. It is a 10 min walk to the beach and the warm baths of St-Kilda or just for a nice morning run on the boardwalk.

2 short blocks away, Tram # 96 gets you to the CBD in 15 min outside of rush hour, and in less than 30 during rush hour. We used the trams every day to get to the sights around the city - they are clean and efficient.

The beds in the 2 rooms are new and super comfy, nicely appointed with warm comforters and soft pillows - sleeping was a dream! The bathroom and sink + shower (mini-bathtub) and toilet area are both spotless.

The provided Wireless Internet was fast and the large screen LCD TV is great + the hosts have even left a few DVD's and recent magazines for their guests to enjoy - very thoughtful. They also left us a bottle of wine, mineral water, some coffee and snacks - WOW!!! 5 star hospitality in my book :)

Thanks again to Susanne for providing us with such a great residence - I hope others will read this review and get to take advantage as well, while also respecting the place so others can enjoy it.

  • Blocks from the beach; you really can't beat this amazing apartment nestled in St. Kilda. The 4 of us had an amazing time and Giuseppe and Susanne were exceptional. He even waited for us at the apartment when our flight was delayed. Stay here and experience a great taste of St. Kilda life.
