Haijing is a good host and the house is very well located, in a hutong, typical neighborhood. Despite the cold, inside was always warm.
Haijing was very helpful - we left the cell phone in the cab and she helped us recovering it calling the driver and meeting him.
Staying with Haijing was a great way to enjoy China. My boyfriend and I stayed here for around one month in Winter as I was doing an internship at a local newspaper. Despite the freezing outside temperatures, Haijing's place was very warm with heated floors and a good hot water system to make it very comfortable. The provided directions from Nanlouguxiang train station are the long way, but there is a much quicker and safer way through the hutong which cuts the journey to around 5 minutes.
The location is absolutely fantastic! Very close to the Forbidden City and Jinshang park. Also worth mentioning is the great hutong street Nanlouguxiang opposite the train station. This groovy street is lined with cafes, shops, bars and restaurants and is a great spot for any traveler looking for a meal or some entertainment.
Overall I had a fantastic time with Haijing and would definitely recommend others to stay with her.
Haijing is a gracious, lovely owner, changed the scheduled date to Jinshanling. She waited for me to go to Jinshanling. I am grateful to her.
Location is very quiet, the traffic is convenient. Close to Jingshan Park, Forbidden City is also not far. From Shichahai, Beihai Park, Nanluoguxiang also can reach on foot.
If you'd rather stay in a hutong, this is a good place.
Haijing was a very pleasant host, helpful and kind. Her hutong house has added the real beijing feeling to our stay. It's hard to find (at night), but the location is superb: subway and several highlights just around the corner. The room itself was basic, but alright. Would recommend it to everyone who prefers a hutong homestay over just another hotel.
My stay at Haijing's place in Beijing was wonderful! She's such a nice girl and I loved the talk and dinner we've had together on my first evening. During the whole time and even though I didn't get to see her a lot as I always came back very late, she was always reachable and cared about me and I wish we would have had time to cook a traditional dish together, but i guess that's a reason to come back !
Also I have to say that the area is super convenient and pretty. Located right behind the north gate of the Forbidden City and opposite of the Jinshang park, it is a great starting point to explore beautiful Beijing, stroll around the Hutongs or enjoy some tea at the nearby lake or in one of the nice small cafés all around.
Thank you for all your efforts, highly recommended stay!
