About this listing
Your private bath with shower only looks historic. It is a new renovated space from what was once hallway. Shower is extra tall.
Stay with us in our historic home, once home to Army Officers at Fort Benjamin Harrison on Indianapolis' northeast side, a 15 minute drive to downtown. Your room has it's own private bath and one queen size bed. We have a total of 3 listings available. Two with a queen size bed and private bath, and one third floor suite - two bedrooms, queen bed each with a shared hallway bath. We invite you to join us in the formal dining room for a continental breakfast, and lounge in the lower level TV room. The large front porch is furnished including an old fashioned porch swing to watch the passersby - and we get lots of them. This home is on the edge of a beautiful State Park with lots of amenities including a Pete Dye designed golf course. Find out more here: (website hidden). And the front street, Lawton Loop, surrounds a 38 acre parade field with review stand and gazebo. Lawton Loop is exactly one mile around and is used by bicyclists, runners and pedestrians daily. Lawton Loop also hosts many events including the Indianapolis Marathon, Lawrence Criterium, Indy Tour Bike Ride, Historic Holiday Home Tour and more. Walk or bike to restaurants, parks, theater and more.
Check in anytime before 10 pm. Carl and I love hosting guests and will make your accommodations as comfortable as possible. We only ask that you leave the premises the way you found it. We have ample room for groceries if you would like to store things in the kitchen. And we'd be glad to share the kitchen facilities within reason. We will expect a security deposit that will be returned or applied toward the end bill.
Judy and Carl were outstanding hosts. Our friends made the initial reservation for the four people in their family. Judy was able to coordinate another room for us. Our group was in Indianapolis for the Final Four.
Their house was spectacular, very nicely updated to keep its historic background. The neighborhood was well kept and adjacent to Fort Harrison State Park where we walked or ran every day with their users pass.
There was easy access from the interstate and to downtown Indianapolis.
We would highly recommend them and we would definitely stay again when we are back in Indianapolis.

About the Host, Judy
My family and I are excited that the Super Bowl will be in our hometown. We hope to help someone's special event be extra nice with a great place to stay. Not usually a BnB host. :)
