About This Listing
Bed and Breakfast
The Poppy bedroom has a standard double bed, airconditioning and a television. The bathroom has a tub with full fitted shower, and handbasin. The WC is separate. The bedroom overlooks our sunny rear garden and terraces.
Breakfast - this is included in the rental price and is served in the garden or in our salon. We offer coffee / tea / chocolate with croissants, bread, butter, jams, fresh fruits.
Our home is a 19th Century Maison de Maitre although some parts are much older. The house is built of solid stone with full modern insulation, so the house is warm in winter and cool in summer, however, we have fitted full central heating and air conditioning as, although winters are never severe, it can be chilly and, although summers are never unbearably hot, it is very pleasant to come home to a cool home after a hot day on the beach or visiting the many ancient street markets Languedoc has to offer.
Wifi is freely available with two systems; we can offer Ethernet connection for higher speeds.

Interaction with Guests
We live in the house and are happy to help with information etc but do not intrude
Carole and Tony were very welcoming from the onset. The B&B Poppy was comfortable and well-equipped and the house itself, including the breakfast room, a great place to return to each day after touring the region around Montblanc. Our hosts were warm and friendly and very willing to share information about the region, find little articles that we needed, and sit with us and chat about any number of things. Their place is ideally situated for travellers to explore a most interesting part of France. We will not hesitate to call them again if we venture back to that region in the future.
Tony & Carole are lovely and welcoming hosts and we had a nice time at Villa Roquette, in the Poppy room, which Tony mentioned is their smaller room, but we felt spoiled for space, with its own hallway and bathroom with separate toilet, it felt more like a small flat. We were welcomed by our hosts and Rocky, the friendliest dog, tried some nice wine from a winery close-by recommended by Carole, had an international dinner with our hosts and other guests and a lovely breakfast on the terrace.
The 'Poppy' Room was clean and pleasant with a view on the garden. We did not dived into the swimming pool as we lack the time. The breakfasts were generous and a perfect moment to meet the other guests. The house is well located, close to Beziers and Agde, but the village is still calm. Our hosts were efficient and offered us a lot of useful advice on the surroundings.
Tony and Carole were wonderful hosts! I highly recommend this off the map quaint bed and breakfast to anybody traveling through the provincial towns of southern France. Tony was very informative about the surrounding areas and was a very good cook providing delicious home made meals for us :) His two dogs were adorable as well! I would definitely stay here again just to spend time chitchatting and relaxing with the hosts :) Highly recommended!
