Dive right in

This is one of the few places in the area with a pool.
Opened in April 2019 after 3 years of renovations, we present an oasis in the heart of Old Havana, "Gardens". Stay anywhere other than Old Havana and you risk missing out on what's best about the city - its vibrancy. Stay anywhere other than Gardens and you risk missing out on what's best about luxury travel - attention to detail.

Gardens is over 2 floors with new plumbing & electrics, original tiles, locally handmade furniture, in-house staff to cook and clean and a host to help plan fun.

The space
The entire space is roughly 10,000 square feet across the 2nd and 3rd floors connected by one spiral staircase. There is a small 4th floor roof which is ours too but no one above us.
Please note that to enter the house you must climb a 4 foot wide but semi-steep staircase of approximately 30 steps.

The house is designed around a central 2nd floor private courtyard for you to relax in away from the crowds, to have breakfast in and it's where the 2 bedrooms on that floor open up onto. We have 2 wall fans in the courtyard to keep you cool while you relax.

The front room and bar are for entertaining and open onto a large balcony that overlooks Villegas from where you can sip on a cocktail watching the world go by.
Upstairs are 2 further bedrooms (1 King and 1 Queen), both with en suite bathrooms.
All bedrooms have air conditioning, and all bathrooms have towels and soaps.

Guest access
The guests are free to use any part of the house they wish except 2 small rooms at the back of the second floor which are reserved for the cooking and cleaning staff during the day.

Other things to note
Old Havana is always alive with activity so while we tell our guests that you will almost always find peace and quiet in the house, we cannot guarantee that you won't hear music or singing from time to time.
We strongly advise bringing earplugs if you are bothered by noise.

Where you’ll be

In terms of location, it simply does not get any better. You are walking distance from El Capitolio and Plaza Vieja (equidistant between the two). On your doorstep you have cafes and bars like Lamparilla and El Dandy both of which sit next to Plaza del Cristo (personally, our favourite in the Old Town and all of it with wifi access).
