About this listing
You have often wondered what it would be like to live aboard a sailboat. Please come spend a night or two aboard. Way different than a hotel. All the creature comforts and let nature rock you to sleep. If you want to go sailing we can do that too.
The Armadillo is currently located in LaConner Washington, close to the beautiful San Juan Islands .
Armadillo is a 50' ketch with all the comforts of home. Features include an icebox and fully equipped galley (kitchen). There is a toilet on board and showers are available at my Bed and Breakfast a mile away from the boat. The Armadillo sleeps three couples plus one single - bring the family, or a group of friends.
Please read my reviews to learn how staying aboard Armadillo has been a live changing event for some and a lot of fun for others.
Want to turn your stay in to a real Pacific Northwest adventure? Captain Mike would love to take you sailing! Your knowledgeable and experienced Captain would love to take you to any destination in the San Juan Islands. Inquire when you book to get a quote for your sailing adventure. Most sailing trips are 500 a day and the fee you pay airbnb is subtracted from that. (*NOTE: Sails must be booked in advance and are dependent on Captain Mike's availability.)
Our website tells it all: visit (URL HIDDEN) for more information and more photos.
The Armadillo is located in La Conner on the Swinomish Channel. The boat is very comfortable, pets are allowed. On board after I have shown you where things are, you have access to the entire boat.
Interaction with Guests
Once i have shown someone on board I usually just let my guests enjoy themselves. If a sailing trip were to take place then Capt. Mike would be aboard.
One of the neatest things about the boat is it is located right next to the main street in La Conner. Many wonderful restaurants and shops are a short walk away.
There is free parking and pay parking near the boat. When I let you on board I will point out where the parking is located.
Other Things to Note
The Swinomish Channel can have a swift current at times and young children will need to wear life vests when on deck and be well watched. A kayak kiosk is right next to the boat so if you want to go kayaking that is available. Staying on the boat is like a glamorous RV on the water. There is an inverter on board to provide power to charge electronics.
check in and check out 12:00 noon.
