Mary greeted me at the door with a big smile, and was extremely friendly from the start. The room was lovely, the facilities were great, and the breakfast in the morning was like a banquet - it was worth staying there just to experience that!
There were also some very clear instructions in the room detailing how to walk into the city from the house, which were very useful and thoughtful.
This was my first experience of being a guest rather than a host, and I feel it has put my air b&b hosting skills to shame, so I am now inspired to do better for my own guests!
They were really nice and helped us with everything we needed. The room is wonderful and the bed very very comfortable! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like home while traveling!
PS: We'll never forget the amazing breakfast Mary prepared for us! Thanks Mary!
We had a pleasant stay here. It is not far from the city. Some bus lines pass nearby, or you can have a 30 minutes-walk instead. The room was pretty fine. Mary and her husband have been lovely hosts. You’ll get a delicious breakfast with tea and coffee, bread, homemade pancakes, muffins or scones, confiture and some fruits – every day differing. All you need for a perfect start in the day. And if you ever wished your partner to bring the breakfast at the bed – here you will get it.
I absolutely loved my stay with Linda and her family. They're such lovely people. Linda was great about arranging for me to get into the house when they weren't there so that I wouldn't have to wait around with all of my luggage. The room was comfortable and clean and in a great area. There is a grocery store a short walk away as well as a great park for running, walking, relaxing etc. The city center is only a 30 minute walk or short bus ride away. If you're packing light, you can get to and from the airport with just one bus (the bus stop is about a 15-20 minute walk). Both Linda and her husband are extremely personable, kind, and helpful. I felt comfortable coming to them with any issues that I had. I also really enjoyed casually chatting with them about random things. Would highly recommend this stay!
