''Dingle -once cited as 'the most beautiful place on earth' by the National Geographic;( was voted among the top 18 destinations in the world by Trip Advisor andTop 9 in Europe in 2009) CNN recently recommended it as a very favourable winter destination; it is listed as one of the top 10 places to be on New Year's Eve - all of these accolades refer to County Kerry's stunningly beautiful Dingle Peninsula.
Fishing and farming have long been the major industries, but tourism has become an increasingly important business in the town, particularly since the filming of "Ryan's Daughter" in the area in 1969.
As a market town and fishing port, Dingle has long been well supplied with pubs; in recent years the number has hovered around 52, and the variety is almost as great as the number. There are large, modern pubs and pubs so small that five's a crowd; one that sells wellingtons and leather belts, another that sells sheets and blankets, and another that sells everything from beds and bicycles to creosote and fertiliser. Much of the social life of the town revolves around the pubs: during the winter there are card games and quizzes. In the summer pool tables are removed to leave more room for tourist customers, and Irish music is played almost every night in about ten pubs.

Judy's place is quite comfortable for a quiet stay in Dingle. We enjoyed the clean ensuite and the feeling of being at home. We felt comfortable using the kitchen and appreciated being able to keep food in the fridge. A nice walk to all the pubs and restaurants in town.

I highly recommend staying with Judy. We had a nice comfortable room and bathroom and access to the kitchen. It's about a 10 minute walk from town, which was perfect for us. And it was so easy to find! We've had a terrible time finding some of our airbnbs.

I actually didn't stay with Judy due to unforeseen circumstances, but she set me up with a neighbor in lightning speed! Her communication to provide new lodging and reassurance was just amazing. All of this in the middle of the Dingle Marathon Weekend, when nothing was left! She set me up with her neighbor, Shelley, who was an angel! Her accommodation was perfect and considering she had a day to get prepared, just proves an amazing person both her and Judy are. Very comfy, had access to the kitchen to make a meal, and it was a nice walk down into the center of town! Would absolutely book with Judy or Shelley again - thank you all for being so flexible!

Judy was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect being close to central Dingle yet away from the bustle of tourist. Gorgeous views all around.

When we arrived, Judy told us to think of her home as though we were visiting an aunt. It was such a lovely thing to say! We shared her home with other guests and with her charming young daughter. Dingle is beautiful and we really would love to return.

Our stay was better than we could have imagined! Judy was helpful, flexible, friendly, and conscientious. We loved the lovely setting, a nice neighborhood surrounded by the picturesque Irish countryside, and an easy 10-15 minute walk to busy, quaint, fun Dingle. Our stay was perfect. There is lots to explore in and around Dingle and Jusy's place is the perfect home base! We can't wait to come back some day!
