Vincenzo and Frank have been amazing hosts! I ended up staying an extra month with them while getting established in the New York area. They were very helpful with directions, helping read street signs since I drove my car here, and tips for looking for jobs and apartments in the area. The apartment was exactly as it appears in the photos. Very clean, private, and safe. I would definitely recommend any of Vincenzo and Frank's rentals!
Vincenzo and Frank were great hosts! Vincenzo welcomed us on day one and recommended several restaurants and grocery stores that catered to our dietary restrictions. Our room was lovely, just the right size for a couple. It also included everything we needed to make meals to save money on eating out. The room is ideal for privacy. It has a separate entrance from the main house complete with an a security system and a locked privacy gate. There's access to their garden with access to a picnic table and bbq. Their yard is very well maintained and their dog Buddy is adorable. He is so sweet, lives upstairs with the guys, and is always eager to meet new guests. Thanks, guys!
Vincenzo & Frank were my hosts for a month as I started a new job and searched for an apartment in Brooklyn in preparation for a relocation from Chicago. They were wonderful, and their home is lovely. I stayed in the private garden unit, which had everything I needed, including a very nice bathroom, fridge, and microwave. The only negative was slow (but totally useable) WiFi, likely just because I was in the basement. I tend to keep to myself (and was busy apartment hunting and working), but they were very friendly when I did see them, and we chatted about where to find a cheap apartment. Vincenzo even changed his schedule to help me out when I managed to lock myself out! Plus, I needed to extend my stay at the last minute and they accommodated me with a move to their upstairs room (Upper Suite Front Sunroom), which was BEAUTIFUL! The location is very convenient to Manhattan. It isn't exactly picturesque, but it was always very quiet and I never felt unsafe. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a long-term stay in Brooklyn!
Vincenzo and Frank are really nice hosts that made us feel really welcome in their home and in the neighborhood. They were always ready to give us advice or help us out with anything. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the backyard with BBQ is pretty awesome. Only small negative point was the not so fast wifi connection. Besides that we had a great two months with them and in their home!
Vincenzo and Frank are really nice hosts. They are welcoming and answered any questions. They also recommend restaurants or they will give you advice on places to go. The room was a good size and there is a kitchen area to cook. They also have dishes and cooking utensils. The bathroom was clean and big. The subway station is very close by. It is easy to get to the city from here. Target and other shopping is within walking distance. If you like jerk chicken, there are good places nearby.
Not a far walk from metro (train station)
Clean place with cooking essentials, towels, etc
Was allowed to do laundry for $5
Quiet street though a bit intimidating
Wireless works efficiently.
Please note we stayed in garden flat. There is a permanent tenant next door that is quite rude, noisy, plays loud music and LOVES to slam doors upon entry and exit.
Owners tend to use appliances late at night
Thin walls so you can hear voices and footsteps from inside their home
Invest in an air plug
Prepare yourself for a dark room
Vincenzo & Frank are wonderful and very helpful hosts. They will warmly welcome you to their beautiful house If you're looking for a safe, quiet place, close to a subway station, this is for you..
