Our private downstairs area has two doubles, a single, deck, bathroom & sitting room with pay TV, stereo & bar fridge. Breakfast is on our main deck with views to New Zealand. Newport is on the beautiful northern beaches and close to Pittwater.
Come stay with us in our spacious Newport beach house. Heather and I have four rooms available: We have two ocean view rooms with double beds for $150 per night with breakfast and a single for $130 per night. Those rooms are on the ground floor with a bathroom and a sitting/TV room with cable TV, coffee/tea makings and a bar fridge. That space and bathroom are yours alone as we will not book other guests during the same period.
For larger groups, such as three couples, we have a top floor overflow room. It is a larger bedroom with double bed, ensuite and a garden view, again for $150. It is listed separately as well (see 646532). A group discount would be available if that room is needed. A continental breakfast is included which is served on the patio (with a view to New Zealand) or in our living room if the weather is unkind. The whole house is not available but we are open to offers to rent for $1500 per week for three to six months. The cost could also be re-negotiated.
The rooms are $10 cheaper without breakfast and discounts apply for longer stays through special offers. Free WIFI is available. Our laundry can be accessed for washing.
Be aware that there are over 50 steps up to our red front door so the property is not suitable for people with mobility issues.
Newport is on Sydney's beautiful northern beaches 35 km from the CBD. We have a large number of good restaurants, a great pub (the Newport Arms) and a supermarket. Public transport is through high frequency express or limited stop buses that take approximately an hour to travel to and from the city. A car would be preferable and ample street or driveway parking is available.
There are excellent beaches and there is plenty to see and do in the area. Just ask - we have lived in this great street since 1979!
Comfortable rooms and beds - linen supplied. Clean well supplied bathrooms with towels and towel driers. Laundry available. Pay TV, free wi fi, CD player with CDs and DVD player. Maps and brochures about Sydney & the Northern Beaches
Interaction with Guests
Always available for a chat especially at breakfast time and happy to give advice on attractions and tourism sites.
Great beach, walking trails. Close to other beaches and Pittwater. Good shops and restaurants and the famous Newport Arms pub.
Good bus service to the city - every 15 minutes during the day. Drive to Manly for the ferry to the city.
We live in the suburbs so please be quiet coming and going. Ours is a no smoking household.
No pets allowed.
Dennis was very hospitable and the place was in a great spot. The views were great and we enjoyed our stay.
My family and I had a great stay and felt well looked after by Dennis and Heather. We would highly recommend this property. It was clean with high quality fixtures and the property description was very accurate. The views (even though it was raining during our stay) are just as good as the photos.
Our children enjoyed meeting the water dragons and hugging the giant teddy bear! There are plenty of nice places to eat at the local shops by the beach. We look forward to returning one day soon.
My partner Ryan and I enjoyed a beautiful weekend overlooking Newport, with a great room, facilities and of course wonderful hosts. The bnb is central yet has views to die for, which you can enjoy every morning for breakfast on Heather and Dennis' own verandah. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away!
Had a lovely stay - the views were as described and the photos were very accurate of the accommodation (which is rare nowadays!). Dennis was helpful and welcoming and the folder with notes about the local area were very helpful. Breakfast on the deck upstairs was really nice and it was nice to talk with Dennis and his wife. Would recommend - can't see why anyone would be disappointed.
Both Dennis and Heather were very friendly and nice to get along.
The view from my room was simply speechless and stunning. It was a pity that the weather was not in my favour during my stay and i am not able to get to the beaches. Nevertheless, Heather has advise me on some on the possible areas to get nice views and i did....
The room was neat and tidy and has everything that one needs. I had enjoyed myself so much during the stay especially the breakfast that was simply too delicious. I had a very nice chat with both Dennis and Heather during the breakfast as well.
Of course, the privacy was good as i am the only occupant during that stay and i have the whole area to myself. There were paid TV and many boardgames which i strongly recommend family of 4-5 for stay.
I will be visiting Dennis and Heather very soon as i am already planning my next trip to their place, but this time.. a longer stay..
Thank you so much for hosting my stay there.
Our stay at Dennis' home in Newport surpassed our expectations.
We only stayed for one night and wished it could have been longer.
The rooms were likened to a 5 star hotel with beautiful decor, amazing views and plenty of space.
The breakfast was served on a terrace overlooking Newport beach and again felt like you were staying in a 5 star resort.
Both Dennis and his wife offered amazing, friendly service.
We would definitely go back.
The listing was exactly as described in a lovely neighbourhood , great views and clean and comfortable rooms . Dennis was very welcoming and easy going.Would defiantly visit again.
