Østerbro is a mainly residential district of Copenhagen, just north of the inner city. With its quiet cobblestone and tree lined streets, and its excellent shopping and cafe life, it makes for a good excursion from the downtown area.
The Inner Østerbro has advantage of a large park area, Fælledparken, and proximity to the harbour and water areas of Frihavn and Langelinie. Additionally it is less densely populated than the Nørrebro areas.
The building I live in is quiet and personal, built in the early 1940's and located right by the seashore. The architecture is simple and functional, made with high quality materials, i.e. very Scandinavian.
300 meters to s-train station Nordhavn, 200 meters to Nordre Frihavnsgade (shopping street) and night life.
You can read more about the area here: (website hidden)
S-train station Nordhavn 5 minutes from apartment, lots of buses close by also. You can be in the city center (Nørreport) 10 minutes after you walk out the door.
You can get to the apartment from airport in less than 30 mins via metro and train easily.
Other Things to Note
Preference is given to longer stays.
Feel at home, have fun and enjoy the city =)
Excellent room (clean, good bed), excellent location (very close to the center, pretty quiet neighborhood), excellent host. Nikolaj is a great guy; very friendly, always there for a chat, but never intruding. Don't look any further, go here!
Nikolaj was a wonderful host. He came to meet me and helped with my luggage. His flat was very clean and organized, located in a quiet residential area. It's very close to a train station but I walked to/from the city center most of the days I was there -tried different routes and loved it. It was a great stay -thanks, Nikolaj!
Nikolaj was the perfect host. He came and found me from the station when I got lost and helped me carry my bags back to his place. And he was always available for any questions I had. The room was clean and quiet. It was quite easy to get to the city centre by the train. It made my trip all the more better.
I really enjoyed my stay! Nikolaj is a great and friendly host. Her apartment is really cozy, comfortable and clean. It was a pleasure to be there for 6 days.
Very pleasant stay! Nikolaj is a great host. Although I was only there shortly, he made me feel very welcome.
Nikolaj was a very friendly host. The apartment was nice and clean in quiet but central area.
Nikolaj was such a friendly person. No issues with communication, very hospitable, room was very comfortable, bike rental store was a block away, location was good overall. Would definitely stay here again if I came back.
I grew up in the northern part of Denmark, went to school in Greenland and have lived in Copenhagen since 1999.
I'm into things such as weightlifting, weird movies and Scandinavia. Currently I'm studying for a masters degree in political science.
I'm a strong believer in the Sharing Economy and I want to contribute with good experiences for guests as well as meeting other hosts when I travel myself.
I'm still new to Airbnb and I am always open to guest ideas about the room and how to improve the quality of the stay. #communityfirst
