Come stay in my River Arts eco-cottage! 20 min walk to downtown, just up the street from White Duck Taco, Wedge Brewing, Grey Eagle, restaurants, galleries, etc. Cozy house, comfy queen bed, and great location with all the creature comforts of home!
Welcome to my cottage on Chicken Hill!
My home is a bright, clean, and cozy with lots of artistic Asheville flair. The house is less than 1 mile from the heart of downtown Asheville.
Guests have access to the full house and the kitchen. Coffee & tea, cereal, and milk provided.
Guests also have access to FREE, OFF-STREET PARKING in the driveway next to the house.
And you can enjoy the spacious deck with table and chairs any time of day!
Interaction with Guests
Guests will have the house to themselves. I live next door and am easily accessible in case you need anything!
A 20-min walk will take you directly into downtown Asheville with its many bars, breweries, restaurants, shops, galleries, and activities. Or you can walk to South Slope in 10 mins, a hotbed of local microbreweries (the Wedge Brewery, High Wire, Green Man, Burial, Twin Leaf, Wicked Weed, Asheville Brewing Company). Walk 5 minutes downhill and explore the galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs along the French Broad River in the River Arts District, or check out a show at the Grey Eagle, a fantastic music venue 5 mins from the cottage!
Asheville has a public bus system called the ART, but most places in town are within walking distance.
Other Things to Note
Club Street is a ONE-WAY coming uphill to my house, so...
1) If you're coming from Roberts St, just turn up Trade St, which turns into Club St. I'm the turquoise house on the left!
2) If you're coming from W. Haywood, turn left onto Haywood, turn right at Roberts, and right again onto Trade Street. Trade turns into Club and I'm the turquoise house on the left!
No pets or smoking in the house.
What a perfect little house to come back to after exploring Asheville and surrounds. Great location just north of the River Arts District. Very clean and well taken care of. Cozy and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!
This place was the perfect spot to stay in Asheville, close to downtown and the River Arts District. We did not meet Alicia, but she was extremely responsive and easy to work with, especially considering we made a last minute booking. Would definitely recommend staying at this super cute, spacious cottage!
Great location for exploring Asheville! The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Our stay was exactly as we envisioned it, and as advertised. It was very nice of the host to provide cereal, milk, coffee and tea which we ate every morning for breakfast.
We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for a getaway or vacation.
My husband and I loved the River Arts cottage. It was just as described but felt more spacious than we had imagined. We loved the character and quirkiness (in a good way) of the cottage. It was down-to-earth and felt like it had an interesting history. But it also was very comfortable and had all the modern amenities (WiFi, a washer & dryer!). The neighborhood was great as well. Funky and artistic and filled with trees and bushes and flowers. We walked to downtown (20 minutes) both nights we were there and to the River Arts district (5-10 minutes). We didn't meet Alicia--I think she was being respectful of our privacy--but she left us cereal and coffee and milk, which was a nice touch. She was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. We would definitely stay here again!
Alicia's downtown cottage was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The cottage is clean, adorable, very comfortable, and close to the river arts district and delicious White Duck Taco Shop. This was the first time we have rented through Airbnb and it was a wonderful experience. Alicia was a great hostess with detailed directions and quick response to emails. We definitely will be back. We loved the rental and our experience with Alicia and Airbnb.
Alicia gave us perfect directions as to how to enter the cottage. It is in the River Arts District which was the best location for our adventures in Asheville. The property provided us with all the comforts of home. It was very clean and so comfortable. This was our first Airbnb experience, and we loved it! Thanks Alicia!
Alicia's place was great. Convenient to downtown and just right for a few days away.
