The Space

Located in the heart of historical downtown Crested Butte, this home built in the early 1900's is located just steps away from Elk Ave and the bus stop. You will be right in the heart of Crested Butte's amazing summer and winter activities. It is just around the corner to great restaurants and shopping.

This three bedroom, two bath home has an amazing fenced backyard with a deck and grill. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and a perfect location for gathering with family and friends, and of course the family pets are welcome (with an additional fee). The kitchen is fully stocked so you can enjoy staying home with a home cooked meal if desired. In the summer, the backyard is perfect for enjoying your meals outside.

Two bedrooms and one bathroom are upstairs and one bedroom and one bathroom are downstrairs. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has a double bed and two twin beds. Total sleeping is for eight people.

There is lots of off street parking, which is rare in the Town of Crested Butte. There are five parking spots with an extra long driveway that can accomadate an RV or boat.

  • Even though it was May we got some cold, damp weather and we were so happy to have the gas fireplace! We played card games in front of it both nights. There was definitely plenty of space for five people and the house is just one block off of the main street in Crested Butte so it was super easy to walk around.

  • Leigh was great to deal with--VERY prompt answering questions. Her property manager was similarly easy to deal with and was gracious in meeting us at the property and orienting us. The house exceeded our expectations. The pictures make it look cozy but make the rooms look significantly smaller than they are. The master bedroom, for example, is really large. The house is from 1908 and had some real charm. The location is ideal--a block off Elk Ave, which is the main street--and a four minute walk from the free shuttle to the ski area. The house was very well furnished and comfortable in every way.

  • I highly recommend Leigh's place if you plan to visit beautiful Crested Butte. It is just a block from the main street. My friends and I had a great time snowshoeing during the day, making dinner, and sitting by the fire at night playing games. We visited the rum distillery and brunched at a cute little place called Izzy's. I can't wait to come back to Crested Butte again!!

  • This house is in a fantastic location literally one block from 'main street' (Elk Ave) in Crested Butte. We loved having quick access to restaurants, shops, etc, plus a block and a half to the free bus (10 min ride) to the ski mountain. The house itself is ordinary-looking from the outside but cute and eccentric on the inside. It was great to have a gas fireplace in the living room for the cold mornings. I happen to be tall (6' 3"); the ceilings and door jambs in some rooms required me to duck, I'm surprised I didn't whack myself. The bus to the ski area was fantastic but also a bit of a logistical challenge with kids under age 8...if you stay here and ski we recommend you wear regular boots to/on the bus and change into ski/snowboard boots at the mountain (i.e. find yourself a locker). Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to CB soon!

I am orginally from Oklahoma but moved to Denver after attending college at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I love traveling the world and exploring the beautiful state I live in. I have made Denver my home but love to go into the mountains as often as possible. I enjoy skiing, biking, hiking, and being outdoors. I also love exploring Denver's great restaurants and bookstores. I am a total animal lover and always try to help an animal in need. I like to volunteer when I travel if time and resources allow.
