To get the full Charleston experience, you must walk through White Point Gardens adjacent to the Battery, get lost exploring the nearby antebellum Charleston homes and gardens on Legare and South Battery St., and cap off the day with cocktails on the roof of bars such as Vendue Inn overlooking the Charleston harbor and skyline at sunset!

We had a wonderful stay at the Carriage House. Our hosts were gracious, casual, and really were interested in us having a good time not only in our stay in their place but also in Charleston.
We got in late and they provided us a phone number to contact them at when we got to the house then promptly answered and showed us through the carriage house.
Fridge was stocked with some wine and local brews :) and some great snacks that was just enough to hold you over between meals!
The linens, towels, cleanliness, umbrellas, washer/dryer, plates, etc, etc were all thought out well and left us not wanting for anything. The complimentary bikes and beach chairs were a great touch too. We rode alot (ride at your own risk!). Bed was super comfortable and again it was great space to live in for 5 days!
We loved staying at Will and Kat's place. Everything was perfect. We were able to walk to restaurants, historical sites and main streets. The neighborhood is just south of Broad among all the historic homes of Charleston. We didn't have any issues with the apartment. When we come back to Charleston we will be staying here!
This was by far the most splendid airbnb property we have stayed at and was made the all the more enjoyable by the warm and helpful welcome given by our hosts. Everything is in first class condition, the apartment is comfortable, light, well air-conditioned and impeccably clean. The welcome pack was generous to a tee. Bed linen and towels were luxurious. It compares favourably with any five star hotel suite I have stayed in but with all the character of Charleston's historic area delivered in a homely and welcome fashion. If I had know in advance we would have stayed longer. Bravo for great properties with great hosts like these, I could not recommend this carriage house more highly. Why ever would you stay in a hotel instead.
We had the most wonderful experience at the carriage house! The owners were beyond kind and welcoming and made us feel like family. The house is cozy, clean, and even nicer than the pictures show. We were greeted with wine, beer, and groceries and loads of gear for our baby boy. They even rented a crib and had an exersaucer for the little guy. We lived in charleston for four years and know the city and this is without a doubt the best location to stay. We can't thank the owners enough and will definitely be back!
Will and Kat's carriage house was the perfect retreat for us in every way!
The location just doesn't get any better in Charleston - one block from White Point Gardens and the Battery, where we enjoyed strolling each morning and evening. It was also just a short walk or car ride to everything else Charleston has to offer.
In addition, the carriage house itself is a private and serene retreat overlooking lovely gardens in the heart of the city. The accommodations were immaculate and the furnishings are comfortable and extremely tasteful.
Our delightful hosts made us feel right at home, and their kindness and generosity were one of the high points of our trip.
The listing description was more than accurate. The carriage house was really nice and very comfortable. Upon arrival the fridge was stocked with some welcome food and drinks. The hosts went above and beyond accommodating us and they were the nicest people. They even gave us beach chairs to take to the beach.
You could not ask for a better neighborhood! You can walk to absolutely everything you would want to do in Charleston's city center. Including some of the best restaurants and attractions the city has to offer. I would go every year and never think of staying anywhere else if I could!
The host ensured we had directions, a parking space , and provided treats upon our arrival.
The lasting was accurate and we had a wonderful experience.
