INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
I meet all of my guests when they first arrive. I give them a good introduction to the neighborhood with a iPad guided tour. I am an arts curator and my partner is a musician, so we usually have a line on some events and performances that visitors otherwise would never learn about. If guests' interests coincide, I may invite them out during their stay to various cultural arts activities.
From time to time, I may need to stop by the loft to perform maintenance or to pick up supplies for maintenance of another space. I will email/text my guests before I stop by to see what might be a convenient time to visit. They do not have to be there, but can be, if they wish.
In the case that a guest does not respond to communication attempts, after waiting a reasonable amount of time, I may choose to enter the loft without their permission. Although, I will always make every effort to preserve the privacy of my guests during their stay, the reservation agreement does not at any point override my right to enter the property at my discretion.

Stephanie was really sweet and let us leave our bags, park the car, and grab the keys before it was our check-in time! She also provided recommendations to some great local eats. The place is really spacious and had some fantastic books and art. Would definitely stay again!
Steff was a wonderful host. She made me feel welcome and helped me get oriented in the neighborhood. She had very helpful suggestions for where to eat and where to buy groceries.
The neighborhood was awesome!! And the loft had a real Bushwick/Brooklyn feel with lots of space and cool decor (I loved the high ceilings!). The air conditioner was a real plus also as it was pretty humid when we were there.
Stephanie was great! She was so incredibly friendly and she even helped us with our luggage upstairs. All the little details that went into making the place feel like home was definitely felt. We went as a family (a party of five) and it was absolutely a fine spacious place to rest and relax. The only reason I gave a four stars is because the neighborhood can get a little dark at night and can get a little scary if you get lost. But Stephanie is always there (a phone call away) so really, our stay was perfect.
Stephanie was the most fabulous host! She met us on arrival and gave us a heap of tips on where to go, what to see, and a few secret gems off the beaten track. She gave us a great orientation of where we were and how to best get around the city. The apartment was gorgeous, super clean, welcoming and friendly. We'd go back in second!
Both Stephanie and her apartment were delightful and made our visit to the city everything we hoped. Stephanie is a clear and punctual communicator -- we were never left with any questions or doubts. Additionally, she recommended an excellent neighborhood restaurant who was able to cater our small gathering with great success. The apartment was light and open and immaculate! I recommend Stephanie and "The L" without reservation.
The L is an excellent place to stay. The loft is such a cool and industrial space. Steph was also such an amazing and kind host who was able to help me and my parents through out their stay as I moved into my apartment a few blocks up from here. Needless to say, my family and friends will be staying here when ever they come to visit!

About the Host, Stephanie
My name is Stephanie. I am an artist, curator and interior designer. I have worked in the contemporary art field for six years (in Los Angeles and New York). I am completing graduate study at NYU.
I was drawn in to the neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn for its creative vitality. Ours is a wonderful community of working artists, writers, musicians, designers, filmmakers, you name it! In addition, the converted factories hold some of the most unique living spaces anywhere in the world.
I created The L and L2 in order to share this remarkable place and time in art history with others, by hosting visitors from the US and abroad and also by working with creative professionals who use the spaces for filming or photography. In return, I am able to learn about cultures and artistic practices other than my own, staying immersed in the joy of exchange.
Thanks for checking out my spaces. I hope that we may cross paths one day!
