  • James is a welcoming, helpful and cheerful host.
The flat is clean, the room is spacious and there is also a balcony attached to it where you can sometimes see cute squirrels running around. On the desk you can also find lots of materials for travellers (maps, sightseeing brochures,..).
The room also offers an amazing view to downtown Vancouver and the mountains. The Skytrain station is in walking distance and there are also buses on the main street with easy access to downtown.
    Thanks James!

  • I had a wonderful stay at James' place! He was an excellent host, providing all maps & info I could possibly need to explore Vancouver, and his restaurant recommendations were spot-on. The location made it easy to walk or take public transit to anywhere I wanted to go, and it was fun to stay in a cool neighborhood instead of downtown. Also, the view is indeed spectacular! I had a great time talking to James, both about Vancouver and anything and everything else. I highly recommend staying here!

  • James is a great host, his friendly and relaxed attitude made me feel welcome, and he was helpful at providing tips to make the most out of my stay (including maps, city guide, coupons and more at my disposal on my desk). Room excellent with a beautiful panoramic view. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Thanks James for your great hospitality.

  • James was an awesome host, we appreciated his flexibility and local restaurant recommendations.

  • James is easygoing, friendly and likes talking with airbnb guests. He told me how airbnb is great - he really enjoys meeting with new people via it. I had a great time there!

●There are many restaurants around the Jame's place, so he and I had dinner together.
●But he kept my privacy, too.
●He gave me a lot of information when I needed during the stay. He sent me to the nearest station when I go to the downtown for the first time.
●The view from the room was really amazing.
●I could borrow his hair dryer.
●I was inspired a lot to see his awesome art works. Since we are the people of the similar profession, I asked him to give me some advices about my work, and he did. He read my resume politely! And he cheered up me to live in overseas such as Canada.
For these reasons, I would highly recommend his place.

  • James is a fantastic, friendly, larger than life host who can give you plenty of space whilst being able to offer a great range of restaurant options in the local area and some fine walks down by the water! I became very fond of my base at the flat, which really does boast the best view in town, in a superb location which I really loved. Other than a scorching shower (it's okay, we cracked the method) and an orchestral radiator (wedging a sock does the trick), neither of which James has any control over, I have nothing but praise for a wonderful place to stay. Fabulous memories of a fabulous city!

  • Staying at James' place was great. He's an excellent host and the room is exactly as it looks. Great base of operations for hitting any of the cool locations around town. I'd definitely stay with James again!

  • James is a great host. He leads an interesting life so conversation was always enjoyable. He made good suggestions for things to see and do. The room is excellent with a spectacular view and as it was close to our son's place we felt really at home in the neighbourhood. We had a good visit and highly recommend James and his accommodation. Thanks James for making our stay so pleasant.

  • James is an amazing host. Kind, relaxed and hilarious. He made our stay incredibly comfortable. The flat is fantastic - a huge room with a beautiful view of the city and mountains, in an area that's nearby to plenty of shops and cafes and easy access to Downtown. We couldn't possibly recommend him more and were sad to leave! Thank you James!!!
